Post all RATTLE complaints here

This has been happening since the day I got it back in march. It's been mentioned in this thread a couple of times but I wanted to bring it up again to maybe get another opinion. Something in the engine bay rattles but when it rattles changes from time to time. Sometimes it when I put a certain amount of pressure on the gas, and when i take my foot off it stops completely, or when I get to a certain higher rpm it stops with time. I think it may be more rpm wise though. No effects on performance just annoying as hell. But hey, thats what I got my JL's for right?

I have this problem and I see it still hasn't been solved (just explaining why im bumping this thread). Mine is happening on an 06 es with less than 50,000 miles and happens when I am applying a certain amount of gas, if the throttle is increased past this point, the sound disappears. If the throttle is completely let off, the sound disappears. Would my motor mounts really be going bad after only 50k miles? Could this maybe be fuel injector related since it only happens at a certain level of throttle? Is it my TB?
Same here only mine is on an 08 ES with 86,000 miles
I'm not sure how to do this (post) but here goes. I have 1 2004 lancer ES, Stock. It has 271K miles. I cleaned the EGR, MAF Sensor. Compression tested all cylinders (150ft lbs psi) except cylinder #3 its at 40 (did compression test several times) only have a P0303 (misfire #3) replaced valve cover gasket and made sure all valve were moving. Changed spark plugs and wires (not coil packs). Changed front rotors and brakes. Used Gunk cleaner in oil fill and drained oil and replaced filter. Car has no pick up and when I go to 5th gear i feel like im shaking the car apart unless I let off gas or press in clutch. Idles at around 800 RPM but run rough especially when driving. I can't find any vacum leaks. Im going to pull the head but since I'm gonna go that far if I can afford it what can I do to make performance better but not have it suck on gas? or any ideas what might be wrong?

Hey sorry for not being on here in awhile. Now down to business. Pulled head and sent it out to be checked, brass wheeled the block to get rust and garbage off, replaced water pump (since it was easy to get to and since it had so many miles, not to mention if ya gonna do it right do it all). got all new gaskets (hate to say it but could not find two of them so had to , ugggh Blue RTV them). Got head back but they did not change my intake valves so thats another problem but believe it or not ran heck of alot better (yeah pulling head back off they said they would make good on it) but even for that the car ran better. If it applies to you, and I know it can run around $500 in some cases but have the head checked THOROUGHLY. I appreciate Ya'll and hope it helps others.
Had head checked, they replaced 8 exhaust valves and 2 lifters. Smething still didn't seem right so they rechecked at n charge. Put head back on (2nd time). Still have cylinders one and three not firiing. Pulled fuel injector wires and find its only running off 2 & 4. Im starting to think its either electrical since 1&3 should fire at the same time (short??) or I have to bad injectors. Gonna check today if I get a chance. Any suggestions?

Checked fuel injectors and electrical cabling. Have electrical pulse at fuel injectors starting to think if the cam position sensor is bad and telling the ECM to fire at the wrong time. Gonna pull the Cam Sensor and check it hopefully tomorrow. ANy idea folks??
To gearhead could your vibration be coming from a bad tire or rim not on straight or harmonic balancer not on exactly straight. Just saying possibilities.

ok folks I need some serious HELP here. Hoked up OBD-II scanner have a P0303 (misfire cylinder #3) even after head re-done (twice). Have light colored (looks kinda blue), smells like i'm dumping fuel out exhaust. checked fuel injectors (inc. harness), Cam Posistion Sensor (checked voltages there too) spark everything. Aint got a clue BUT did notice after and hour of running my cheesy @$$ OBD II reader said my O2 sensor, EGR, Catalyst monitor and one other sensor hasn't finished diagnostics. Someone please tell me its not my ECM (lie to me if ya have to....ok dont lie to me, I can handle it... I think)
For the record I'm an idiot..... After pulling my hair out the problem is my slave wires off of the coil packs are on wrong...DUH I pulled them off and didn't realize I put them on wrong. So there we have it. Excuse me whilst I beat my head against a wall!!
I'm looking at a 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer O-Z Rally an when I get to about 70-80 MPH the steering wheel starts shaking as well as the front end. If I go below that it doesn't shake and I was wondering if that's gonna be an easy fix or if its gonna require a lot of money. Please give me your suggestions.
04 lancer smoking bad
alright after I fixed my mistake with the firing order I have a bunch of grey smoke coming out exhaust especially when I hit the gas. Possibility is just ALOT of garbage in my exhaust system so when I get home I'm gonna take off exhaust manifold just long enough to make sure that all that smoke ain't coming from the actual engine if not guess the garbage in my exhaust needs to just burn off. Still have to check my tire and harmonic balancer to make sure they're on all the way (which is prob causing my car to make noise on the passanger side when doing 55-60+. Dan you might want to check your tire. Just last week I had that issue and my tire blew going down the road doing 70. Just a thought. Gearhead did you find your problem yet?
