While driving at low speed and high speed will get a rubbing/vibe noise
I was thinking wheel bearing or cv you feel the vibration more on the passenger side. Its really loud at higher speeds and some what stops when you turn just a little bit. I dont know what else it can be any suggestions?
i bought a 2002 ES w/ 63k miles on it. I replaced the rotors after hearing grinding sounds and rumbling. That got rid of it but i now hear a low rubbing sound that turns into a high pitch squeaking sound as i speed up, when i get to 30-40mph it goes away. It also goes away when i press the brakes, it sounds like the front left tire. I think it may be my wheel barrings/hub, but i thought that had a rolling deep sound and not a high pitched squeak. any help?
Hello Everyone. I have an 02 Lancer OZ Rally and i used to have a problem with the AC not blowing cold air in the afternoon. It works well in the morning but by the afternoon it was actually blowing warm air. I have been researching and a friend of mine said that my AC must be low in either pressure or freon. I bought an IDQ R-134a from Autozone to check the pressure and recharge my AC system. The pressure was low so I recharge it within the range and the AC started to blow colder air. I started to have problem. I hear a vibrating noise when the AC is on. I can hear the noise around the high-pressure side port. It seems that the metal pipe is vibrating. The noise only comes up when the car is at a stop. When I accelerate, the noise is gone. So i have been turning off the AC when I am about to stop so I dont hear the noise. Is there a quick fix for this?
i have an 08 GTS and i just changed my oil 2days ago. it needed one badly i went about 700 miles over the date that it shoulda been changed on, had some complications and issues when i tried doing it when i wanted. but the day before i changed it it started to make a low knocking noise. i thought it would go away after i changed the oil but not yet. from about 4k up is when the noise seems to start. but only really hear it when in gear and hit the 4k or above mark and i let off the gas slightly. im goingto check this fourm to see if anyone else had this issue, but any ideas?

I would start by lifting up the front wheels and running the car in gear and having someone slowly bring the car up to 4k and listen for the noise.
Unless you were low on oil when you changed it, going 700 over should not hurt it (as long as you dont make a habit of it)

that was the 1st time that i let myself go over the miles for the OC, im usually up to date with it, and yea i was very low on oil after we poured it back into the empty containers it filled only 2 back up. but i can understand if i did this a few times, but the 1st time that i change it a week later. i am the 3rd owner to the car and it only has 56k miles on it so it had to be something then with the other 2. my friend drives his 02 oz rally and he needs to change his oil and he has no knocking sounds. WTF lol
took it to a local shop and they are going to work on it with the warranty, so far he said low end knock which i kinda had a feeling already. so this sucks i dont have my car =(
the warranty covered the engine swap and the new engine had like 39k miles on it already, so its been about 2 1/2 weeks so far, and one of the pullies is causing a louder idle on start up, and stays with the sound even when the car gets warmed up, but not as loud. The mech said its ok the pully is worn, warranty wouldn't replace it because its not broken. im about to bring it back to the mazda dealer (where i found the car) to have them fix my headlight again(3x bulb is out and i just replaced it recently shouldnt be dead) and have them look at the engine and trans, mainly since when i start the car it sounds like its not getting alot of power from my batt, and because i highly doubt they checked the trans, and that coulda been some of my reason for my engine failure. ugh this car is causing to much trouble, but i love it >.>
Stupid noise
Hi I am new to this but I am pulling my hair out trying to solve an ongoing issue I have a 03 lancer revolution and I have a strange knocking sound coming from engine somewhere I have had the head off and had it all serviced that didn't change anything was still there I then dropped bottom end thinking bearing seems all good there and the strangest thing is, is that you can only hear it at certain rev's in between 2200 to about 3400 and the oil pressure after the pump is 3x what it should be please help any ideas are appreciated as i am just shy of pulling the stupid thing apart and rebuilding it from scratch which I don't want to do lol
