93 GMC jimmy problem

Ok, so guys maybe you can help me diagnose this problem....

My car has over 200 thousand miles on it, and a week ago, it ran fine. I parked it in my driveway, and after 10 min i went back out. It didnt start. It wouldnt turn over, and it just makes 1 clicking noise. Its not the starter...we replaced it, and its not the battery, we replaced that. Any help? I miss not driving. Do you think it could be a connection problem? I want my baby back

1 click usually means your solenoid isn't switching.

A lot of cars have an integrated starter/solenoid, but I don't think the 4.3 has an integrated. Looking around on the interweb, seems like overheating of the starter solenoid is a common problem, but I'd replace the solenoid ($35 at autozone) first and look into getting a heat shield for the solenoid if the problem returns.

Solenoid and starter are brand new. Local Mechanic says not enough voltage is getting to starter to make it turn over. I think it may be a connection problem. What do you think?

Sounds reasonable. I'd check the fuse block, make sure the fuse is good and leads are clean, as well as the wire/lead feeding the solenoid. Otherwise, you may just have a corroded wire (not fun).

We are in the process of rebuilding the cable ends, and we will buy a new cable end tomorrow prolly. See if that works. Pray for me . There was quite a bit of corrosion of the positive terminal under the saddle clamp.
