Well, for one cash...

$10,000 invested over 5 years (estimating 5 year loan for the Evo) at market average of 11%... extra $6850 forgone - factor in the interest rate (4-7%) of the Evo loan - an additional $3,382 spent (at 6%)...

$10,232 in lost/paid interest, not to mention depreciation (the evo will lose a LOT more money then the FD) the Evo isn't that hot of a deal after all.

But shtidamn it'll handle well in the snow.

The Fd will always be faster (straight line) with equalent power output.
It's not easy to drive an FD fast. The looks is much greater than an EVO.
However I sold my single turbo FD for the EVO just for everyday reliable
power and racetrack advantage.
The FD definately is an exotic car because this has nothing to do with the manufacturer.
Nissan makes an exotic ride, so does Toyota, Mazda. A car is called exotic when it's rare
and nice. Both is the case for FDs.
Would you call a Porsche GT2 exotic? I wouldn't because I live in germany but people will
always call it an exotic car.

I had a rare (1 of 254) black '94 FD R2 until recently. I autocrossed both cars. The FD is way more challanging and fun to drive at 10/10s. Due to the 50/50 wt balance, 400lbs less wt. and double alum wishbone suspension, the front sticks way better mid turn, and nothing is more satisfying than hanging the tail out of a sweeper when the 2nd turbo hits. You always feel like you're driving a powerful, fast light wt. sports car.

I sold it because I'm faster in the Evo. I won a national tour trophy the first week I got it.
