1g dsms are the way to go.

 

C5 vette. Bolt on a 4k supercharger an you got 500-550 at the wheels on pump gas. No other mods. Youd spend more than that getting that kind of power out of an evo, no doubt. And a vette will hook up just as good as most japanese sports cars, ie supra, rx7, etc.

Even without the charger a vette is a pretty darn fast car, especially the zo6. And you can pick up a 3 year old vette for less than an evo.

DSM's are pretty good for cheap speed too if youre really on a budget
