Skyline, without a doubt....
I have a friend over in Japan right now who has a 92 r-32 GTR and he says that 1000hp is not possible on stock internals at all. He has done tons of work to his car that all added up to about 15 grand in aftermarket. He bought the car for 2 grand I am pretty sure. He really knows the cars and I would trust him. He knows the Skyline like I know good ****. His Skyline will run in the 10's all day with no nitrous.

Personally, I would just get a s13 and convert it to Silvia, but drop in a rb25dett with matching tranny if we are talking about a US driven car. Get the rear axle upgraded and change to 5 lug and then put some upgraded brakes and rotots on it (300zx comes to mind). Spool the back axle and start drifting like there is no tomorrow. As far as the right hand drive thing goes, good luck getting that to pass inspection. You can do it, but it is expensive.

Skylines are nice, but does anyone remember how expensive it was to get an Evo in the US before they were brought over with the E 8? If they actually come to the US, you will be able to get one for a lot less than what Motorex wants. Oh, and why motorex? They are overpriced. www.omegaskylines.com is where I would do my Skyline shopping. They have an R32 GTR in there right now for 13 grand that I was actually thinking about, then I learned more about all the hassles that I would be facing if I tried to get it in the US, even if it wasn't going to ever be driven on the streets. I decided against it. But Omega will convert a Skyline for a lot less than Motorex would ever think of doing it for.

I think the 1000-1250 HP Skyline GTR on stock internals or in general is just another Urban Legend. I have searched long and hard on the Internet and various periodicals to no avail.

I have found some very quick Supras, Evos, (not many 500+ Subies though), 300ZX TT, and Rx7s, but none look to be much more than 700hp (way to go Jocce!) and even fewer on stock internals. I'd love nothing more than to be proven wrong with a correct website link, but at this moment they are just figments of our imagination. Either that or people truly believe that if it can be done in Gran Turismo 3 than in fact it must be true.

The challenge has been set.

Nissan Skyline R348 Blitz

That's the car I want with the mods they've done it has 850 hp. In reality I would like to the current US version the G35 Coupe it has 290 hp which is more then enough for me and as close as I will get for a while.

So there is this Canadian based shop that is building a twin turbo setup for the G35 and the 350z right now. That will be interesting.

I agree. There is a GT-R in the US that is pushing in the 800hp range with stock internals but no-one expects that one to last long.

A good condition R32 GT-R goes for around $10k in Japan. GTS(-T)'s are a different story but they are a different cars as well.

Because they are the only ones that can legalize Skylines in the States. Omega Skylines can't.

No. Seen two, Ari Yallon stopped by CTC when I was there and then I saw one on the highway in Shreveport. I was in my GT-R but I don't race on the streets and he wasn't trying to race me either. If it is a stock EVO then there wouldn't be a point to race it anyway...

If you want 1000 HP, there is an event for supra owners in TX where they drag on the track and dyno their cars. The big monsters w/ NOS and TC can pump 800 - 1000 HP @ rear wheel.

2003 Nur-spec R-32
Looks like R-32, smells like R-32 and even sound like regular R-32.
But sit in the New seats and turn the Key......
You have just wakened a beast from it's sleep

Man....this thread's still going...
even though i love the evo, i would take a GTR over it any day. While everyone will plop for the R-32, i'll take the R-34. Handles like a 32, pushes it like the 33. It's just a shame that the skyline was never offered here. guess i'll settle for a G35 (new skyline with infiniti written on it)
