Wrx?
Or you could be like me. Be so excited that Subaru was bringing the EJ20 state side I ran out and bought one in 2002. Then get extremely pissed when less than two years later they see how well they sold and bring the STI over. Not to mention Mitsu bringing over the EVO finally. I will miss my exhaust note, I will miss my bugeyes ( sorry I still think they're sexy as hell ) , but I won't miss praying for second gear everytime I drive it, or being in debt up to my eyeballs for 300whp. I love my car to death but will be happy to make the switch to a fresh IX.

If you read sport compact it has been one of thier 8 great rides for under 30gs every year since it came out.

Fastrob on this forum had ran his WRX and a buddy's STI at SIR and he now drives an Evo 9. He can tell you from his point of view how hard is to run 13.2 at SIR, so hard that a regular modded WRX(tb, cai, mbc) hardly runs 14's at all.
Last week a guy ran 15.98@88.89mph on a WRX 5 speed with cat back, MBC and air filter. nother friend of mine finally did a 15.9 on his automatic WRX, he use to average 16.3@85mph.
You can tell me all day long that you ran same times as me, that is oK, I am telling you that you can dream to run a 13.2 in Tucson with $2000, it is NOT happening and it never had. You are running in Massachusset, I ran .5 sec on a Honda civic by running it at San Antonio Raceway instead of Tucson SIR, I also ran .2sec quicker and 3 mph faster from going from Tucson to Phoenix.
Mostlikely your runs are equivalent to a 13.6-13.7@98-100 here in Tucson
Not even the STI can break in the 13's in Tucson. Remember, you might be in a different location, I ran my WRX most of the times at day light with no less than 95 degrees.
Thanks!!

I don't doubt you ran similar times with less money spent, it is possible but you aren't going to get a 13.2@104 at SIR. go to www.nasioc.com and you will see that even the STI with $2000 in mods have trouble getting in the 13's.
As per the WRX being in a different league, yes but only performance wise, price wise it is almost steping on the Evo's(RS) toes..
Take care
Carlos
TELL YOUR FRIEND DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SAVE UP, EAT AND WATER & GET THE EVO!!! If he is looking for a decent cheaper daily driver that hes not going to do anythign else to other than exhaust and stereo than go with the wrx. But it takes too much to make the car fast, and its not worth it.
