I dont think GM or any American company can afford to void them warranties with their lagging sales compared to european/japanese imports.

The S7 runs 10s as well but that's about it. The Z06 is a beast.

maybe a rare 1 or 2

i know of some people on the vette forums who have taken their car in for warranty work straight from the track

the vette is chevy's flagship car....they take good care of their customers and treat them like kings

trust me, i own a z06 i took it in for some minor recall and an alignment, it was amazing the treatment and service that i got

not like the crap you get at the mitsu dealership where they try every reason possible not to warranty your car

hmmm read this http://www.zo6vette.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74875

but you're right, most dealers do treat vette owners well. Definitely better than Evo owners...

But when the 01 Z06 was released there was a big stink about chevy voiding warrantees for people who tracked their cars. That is no longer the case. At least that's what they tell you before you buy the car.

I had several issues with my 01 Z06 and the dealer took care of them. I think the difference is that most people in Z's own up to the rebiuld when they mod thier cars and something goes bust whereas it seems like many evo owners cry like girls when they mod and the motor goes kaput.

I'm in agreement. Putting a car back to stock to take to the dealer for warranty is wrong when you know good and well something you did blew it up. We have threads discussing how Mitsu sucks for voiding warranties on modified cars....They don't sell these cars for our benefit and entertainment, they need to make a living too.

And wow, in order to just hang with a Z06 in the 1/4 we literally need to have every bolt-on plus a turbo upgrade. Ouch

Ouch??? Ouch what???

To get into a 06 Z06 you'd have to shell out over $65-$70,000.00 before they hand you the keys, and who knows if dealers are marking them up???

compared to the $30-$35K Evo, I think the EVO is a bargain.....

If you can afford to pay for the performance of a new Z06 then great....more power to you, but dump a few grand into an EVO and you'll be able to hang with and if not beat the Z06.

Not trying to start an argument, but the highest I've seen with cam and headers is in the 540rwhp range. I don't think anyone has cracked 600 yet without nitrous.
