Maybe you just don't get the Evo...it's a great daily driver. I love the four door practicality. One of the reasons I got rid of my z06 was the detached/floaty feeling. The 04's got upgraded shocks that may have helped and I know the 06 Z is light years ahead of c5 model...one of the reasons an 06 Z will be in my garage as soon as one of my properties sells

I really could not care less if he went 2 sec. in 1/4 mile. Corvette is and always will be American rubish. Have you seen what Fifth Gear found out about the C6 Z06. You guys need to watch it. They still believe that the Americans are way to far behind Japan and Europe. The car is plastic. Not only that but if you get in a crash make sure you die because if you limp away you wish you would have died. I don't have anything against corvettes but I think that those cars are really bad in every way except straight line, but there is nothing a little GT35 on my Little 2.0 L Evo cannot handle. The reason I am so amazed with the Japanesse cars is the amzing power they put out of their engines. 1.8L, ....... to who knows, but its just amazing. I can't wait to see the new Evo X, that should rock the Z06 or be very close to it.

hmm, here's an interesting one for you, my buddy was racing a brand new corvette and he has an ix and this was in Anaheim Hills so there are good straight aways and then several sharp turns and when the ix passed the new corvette after the second straight away and then there was a sharp turn and he made it and the corvette thought that it was an easy turn, hmm, no, it was bad for him, he slid and hit a cop car, my friend did get caught though because when he made that turn the cop got his plate..
