Evo to Z06
After owning 3 vipers, many corvettes and other performance cars I picked the Evo... I test drove the new viper coupe but the market was soft with the rumor mill saying in 08 the Viper will be 650 hp, looked at the Vettes(C6 and Z06) but after leaving the dealership I saw a boat load of vettes on the road home. The Evo excited me with the trackability, daily driver and the idea of 3 passengers enjoying the fact the Evo being such a sleeper. many of my friend s thought I was nuts. The Evo community is so different than the wine and cheese Viper/vette group I was always wondering what I was doing there.
All in all the Evo is a balance of all good things I prefer.

If "vettes r for ppl who r to dumb to c.." then I guess EVO's are for those that can't speak proper english.
Seriously though, unless you have driven a Corvette then you really don't have an opinion. Also why ***** about cars in the past, we are talking about the 06+ Z06, not your unlce's mom's fiancee's daughter's 04 LS1 Vette......they are lightyears apart.
Nice to see that SOME people on this board aren't too much of fanboi's.
I definately wouldn't trade my Evo for a standard C6 Vette.
Z06 would be a tough call though. I'm just not a fan of Vette's. Not that I dislike them, but I don't love them either. However, I can appreciate the performance aspect, so the logical part of me would probably win out if I could straight swap for a Z06. Over 500 horsepower stock, plus excellent handling is tough to beat. And since my Evo isn't a daily driver (and will be put away in a few weeks for the winter), that aspect wouldn't change with owning the Vette.
Truthfully though, I'd be more apt to trade for the upcoming GTR, if the performance matches all the speculation going on.
Not that any of this matters, since I don't have the cash for either one anyway...

The "Z07" is a sexy *****.
Oh, and i need back seats right now so Z0-whatever is out of the question. And in a few years once (well...if) I have the cash for a car like that i will import a gtr34 because i am a trendy bastard lol.

...I'm planning on getting a standard C5 in place of my Evo, so I'd definately do it. Then again I do plan on installing one of the brand new 2.6L or 2.8L Kenne Bell twin screw superchargers on it. I also have a daily driver SUV, so practicality is NOT a concern.
