2008 Viper 600hp
In Car and Driver's lightning lap the 510hp Viper ran 3:01.6 and the EVO IX ran 3:13.5......needless to say, that is an ETERNITY. Imagine the gap with the Viper having 90 more HP!
I'm surprised people complain about the interior...especially on an EVO forum. The EVO has a $12,000 Lancer interior and also shares the same general exterior looks as a 4-door econo car

apples to oranges here fellas but I do have one thing to say- all the schmucks that drive the viper think that they are gods behind the wheel- the car does not make the driver, if you can't handle the 500 hp you'll lose the back end and put it into the dirt or even worse. Especially if you pull up against an EVO on a twisty road, with the EVO out front to start, I'd like to see a Viper pass, if the Viper was out front to start it might have a chance depending on how long the straights are. I feel much more comfy behind the wheel of the EVO rather than a Viper. Aesthetically it's gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but it is quite possibly the "hardest" car to drive
looks similar to previous viper but w/ vette lines from the rear 1/4 panel and onwards. It's slowly pricing itself out of the American market.
There is no way people can believe a Viper can hold its value to a 911 or Ferrari.

With anything even remotely close to equal drivers, a Viper will absolutely SMOKE an EVO on curvy roads or in a straight line.

Too much import kool-aid is a bad thing.
Huh? FERRARIS hold their value well??? The Viper has one of the highest resale values of ANY car.

I can't believe they increased the displacement AGAIN on the Viper.
are you serious? and you dont think alot of Evo owners think there gods? its the same with all the cars including the Evo, the driver makes the car most of the time. Even in the twisties if sombody who cant drive an evo could get owned by a viper. dont act like the evo is god, and that its the only car that can be driven anybody.
