BMW 135i
So we are getting a real 135i here shortly in the US. Here is what i found on car and driver web site. I am thinking about getting one in a few years, to keep the evo company. Sorry if this is a repost below is the info and pics i could find.
"The 135i will house the beastly twin-turbo, direct-injection 3.0-liter six, good for 300 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. Either choice comes with a six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic transmission.
Those 300 ponies should catapult the 135i from 0 to 62 mph in 5.3 seconds, according to BMW, but we expect the fastest 1er to be much quicker, owing in part to BMW’s famously conservative estimates and the fact that we rang up a 0-to-60 time of 4.9 seconds for a 335i coupe.
....
the 135i will include a ton of stuff right off the bat. Beyond the thrilling powerplant, of primary interest to enthusiasts is that 135i buyers will also receive the M Sport package as standard. No mere appearance upgrade—that would be the M aerodynamic kit, also standard on the 135i, which includes new front and rear fascias and side sills—the M Sport gear is all about performance.
In addition to 18-inch wheels and performance rubber, the M Sport package nets a more aggressive state of tune for the suspension and upgrades the brakes from single-piston calipers all around to six-piston grabbers up front and two pistons out back. Also of note is that the 1-series standard stability-control system has been relaxed and the throttle response heightened in the 135i. BMW’s love-it-or-hate-it Active Steering will be an option."

I agree the 335i has better styling ... but this car is going to be super quick. Same motor with less weight ... smaller package will be my nimble too. I think a lot of the E90/E92 M3s are going to really have to watch out for tunned 135is
trust me.
Listen to what I am going to say and perhaps record this in your brains, the BMW 135i will be in my opinion one of the top 5 quickest cars in the world for the price...as simple as that!!!
Other than the direct competition from the Evo 9 or the STI I don't think any other car in the market in the world will put a fight on a BMW 135i, trust me on this one!
Basicly what I am saying is please find me a car for that price range that is quicker, better built and well equiped, what a Mustang GT? a G35? a S2000? an Audi TT? A 350z?, you see what I mean??
It might not be your cup of tea as far is looks but what can you get for about $35k or less that could be quicker than this little devil? lets not forget about its 4 year head to toe warranty which covers everything except tires(belts, fuids, rotors, pads, oil filters and oil).
You will get a whole lot on this car for what you pay. Remember, a STI now cost you nearly $34000, for about the same price you get a BMW with top notch quality.

For the people that are reading my comments and are unaware of this engine real output just to let you know that the real power that this engine is putting from factory has been proven to put around 330-340hp (crank).
BMW had the dilema to miss or underrated the power on this car on favor of the new E-92 M3 model otherwise it would had hurt the sales of the E-92 M-3
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong but again I haven't seen any other diviation on power plants.
In Europe though they sell the Alpina version of the 335i with a lower compression ration and higher boost output puting out a healthy 360hp

Would it be possible to trade my evo in for this car even though I still owe money on my loan? I actually prefer the 135 styling to the 335, even though the headlights could be a tad smaller. The performance goes without question. 49lbtq/26hp gain from 3" DP?. . holy untapped power.
please say I can trade in for this car!

Downpipes are getting 26whp-29whp and tq in the 45-50lbtq range to the wheels.
Vishnu Procede squeezed some 75whp/114lb/tq on a older version of software, there are 4 upgrades to that software and the power is now 100whp increase with just his software(Vishnu Procede V 2.0 version)
Cat backs are making 12-15whp.
We can sit here and try to find answers but you can't ingnore the facts, the N54 is making mega power. This engine was marveleously engineered, it won the best engine in the world award by on of the top leading magazines.
Also, don't forget that this engine is already under rated from factory and it reallu puts 330-340hp to the cranck. With a few simple bolt ons this car is now in the 500hp crank range, just like that!
Note: ( I can provide again all the appropiate links to support all my statements above )

Yes Regmod you could, then you'd roll over whatever was left after trade into the new car...
But please don't get over your head like that, you already have an Evo and its a great car.
I wonder if they'll ever be releasing a 135xi... 335i vs Carrera I'd pick the 335i for sure, and almost did... 335xi vs Carrera 4... well, you can see the answer to that... I was just so unimpressed by how much the 335xi didn't drive like the 335i. But anyway, the 135i is going to be a wicked awesome car... And affordable... and 4 year warranty which hopefully they'll keep the current: "All services free" thing going too... And then hopefully a bunch of old men reserve the first big batches of them, so I don't have to deal with idiot teenagers trying to race...
