Evo X vs. Evo VIII and IX
tenths.....its a different kind of car...it has more comforts and would be more appealing to a broader spectrum of customers. Its difficult to compare...for instance would you trade a comfier ride for a few tenths of a second? Not everyone drag or track there cars. The X is definately still a nice car, it just loses some of what makes and evo an evo. My .02 cents
Can i please get a raise of hands on who actually uses the AYC on a daily basis? Its only for track ****** who need to edge out their personal best times by 1 second.
Every day driving will not show the AYC and therefore kinda leave the X in the dust
I bet the motor has major potential, but i just don't like the looks, and Mitsubishi's approach on making the car slower in a straight line from the factory.

a) the evo is not a drag car. It might be slower in straight line, but it is also much faster on the track.
b) AYC is agreeably for track usage. But, yet again, the evo is not a drag car! track driving will "show the AYC and therefore kinda leave the 8/9 in the dust"
c) and lastly, the evo x is a much better daily driver then the 8/9, but neither car's apeal comes from it being an amazing daily driver. Actually the cars appeal comes from being rally inspired and a fast and amazing handling car on a road course. So yet again AYC is perfect for the evo and should be a huge reason as to "what the big deal" is with the X.
Oh and lets quote some fair figures. if your going to take the best 8/9 0-60 times then do so for the X also. 5.7 0-60 LMFAO. I've seen as low as 4.6 which would make it faster then your quoted 8/9times!!!! So yes it is milliseconds (or otherwise know as miniscule/non-important) difference. And yet again the evo isn't a drag car.
and lastly, i bet none of you posses the skill to actually tell the difference between a 4.6 and a 4.8 second 0-60 car. 2 tenths of a second is so little that whining about this is rediculous. Not to mention yet again that whining about this is also rediculous because THE EVO IS NOT A DRAG CAR.

Anyway:
looks= personal opinion and therefore is retarded to debate.
performance= actual technologies and should be debated. however, 0-60times are so driver influenced that just because your 8/9 is supposedly 1-2 tenths of a second faster doesn't mean you would win in a drag race, and hence why i say "milliseconds" to stress the irrelevance of those times.
I did however see the other guys math and that is kinda funny.... sorry, I know you were on my side but it did make me laugh.
Oh... and if your buying the evo as a drag car then your an idiot. because, yet again THE EVO IS NOT A DRAG CAR. Buy a stang or a 135i if you want to drag.

I know they are tenths, I was talking more figurativelly speaking. And looks is an individual opinion and I think the 8/9s look butt ugly and was never interested in one untill the X.

No no, I agree with you. The evo is not a drag car. And i was talking to Weezy, when i said they are tenths of a second, becuase he said they were milliseconds lol..
Anyways, to each his own!
To each his own is exactly what I say!
That is why I don't understand why a vast majority of the previous gen owners totally bash the X and their owners?? Like I have said before, why aren't Evo owners more supportive of each other. It's an Evo, be proud that more people are getting a great car and enjoying what it brings to the table. You just don't see this from Mustang owners, for example, and that is REALLY disappointing to me, being a new X owner and first time Evo owner. It's so bad on here that I almost hate to post because of what previous gen owners will say. Not that I am thin skinned or really care, but it just adds to the "hatred" and bashing, which is totally perplexing to me.
