It's donkeyMASTER, thank you very much.

And, no, I haven't driven an Evo. If you read my postings you will also note that I have not once said something like "The M3 is a much better race car than the Evo VII." I have very little doubt that the Evo is a more focused car that is quicker in many circumstances than the M3 (though not quicker than the current M3 in a straight line, according to, I think, Car magazine).

So who am I calling a liar? It's pretty clear that you're lying if you say the M3 is a slow piece of junk that can't make it around the track with any kind of style. If you just want to let the world know that an Evo is faster around a tight, twisty track, I have no reason to argue with that. Hell, I have a deposit down on an Evo and hope it's all everyone says it is. I hope it's half again better than the M3, because that's how much it will cost, most likely. If it's not, I could always spend just the difference in the cost of the cars and put in that 420HP turbo kit in my e36.

I have been in a lot of cars, and none of them outclass the M3 as badly as you guys seem to want to say. This includes the previous generation 911 turbo. The M3 remains the best, or near the best, with a mixture of practicality, performance, luxury, style and value. It is possible to beat it on one measure or another, but very difficult on all levels.

Uh. The whole concept of anyone using all these Britishisms to try and talk down pretty much anything is just weird. Even weirder since that person is Japanese. It's just not very convincing. Why don't you go grope some chick on a train or play with a catheter or something and leave the cars to those of us who can actually put more than 1000 miles a year on them?

donkeyMASTER,

I'm glad you like your M3, used to love mine also. Then I drove an evo and the M3 was sold in a week.

Slow/fast, better/worse, these things are all relative. I hope you US guys get your evos soon than you will have a basis for comparison. In the meantime, enjoy your car and don't worry about what other people think.

By the way, the track I usually take my car too is the Sepang F1 circuit, it has fast and twisty bits. There is no way my M3 would keep up. In fact, next time I go up, I will ask the guy I sold it to to come along and I will time the both of them. I am willing to bet that the evo is at least 15secs faster.

Well oh MASTER of donkeys.....what??? Must everybody that expresses oneself on this forum use americanisms?? I think not my friend....and having grown up and spent the majority of my life in the UK I have every right to express my opinions of poncy a M3 driver in a manner I see fit!!
With your attitude you have shown everybody what an M3 driver is all about. And please do come to Japan, where 90% of sports cars on the roads will eat you M3 for lunch!! (BTW...still dont get the 1000 miles a year comment?)

And a little comment on your level of intellect:

Since you're in america why don't you go to San Francisco and take it up the *** from a big fat hary ******, while I stay over here and touch up grils asses on the trains. I wonder who will more fun!!

There...hopefully you should understand that

Oh....and please explain what you mean with "playing with catheters"??!! I knew M3 drivers were sick perverted ****s...but this I just have to find out about. Do you also have a gimp in your basement??

He has a valid point here... but some may think the Evo is an exception - a super special product that can't go wrong!

I don't think it's fair to 1) bash on someone's ride because YOU don't happen to like it and 2) Call anyone who drives an M3 a "ponce" (respect other people and their cars please - just cause you have an EVO and others don't doesn't mean your any better) and 3) go on further to curse out that person for defending himself after a direct flame.

Now I start to question how cocky EVO owners are, and I thought S2000 owners were cocky son's of *****es....I hope this won't take a toll on me when the EVO arrives to the states!

I'm done here...this has turned to a circus rucus !

EvoSouL....I might have called him a ponce, but everybody knows that M3s are owned by such people!

What really pisses me off is the blatent racial attack he came out with...thinking I'm Japanese and trying to be funny that all Japanese people fondle women and play with catheter tubes. If you dont think thats bad...then you are just like him!! Bloody americans!! And if you think thats harsh...too bad...

And BTW I dont have an EVO!
