2011 Subie WRX and STi threads - Merged.
It's a persistent rumor in the Ralliart forum, supposedly they're going to bump up the power slightly (less than 10 HP), give it the wheels and tires off the Evo, the fenders off the Evo, offer it with a manual transmission and cut the price slightly. It looks to be nothing more than a myth though.
I have seen a video floating around with a
exec claiming they were researching 5-speed in the ralliart. I have a SST in my MR (Love it to death), but because of the supposed weak ralliart SST, I won't let my wife buy one until that is addressed. So it looks like she's going to get my X MR for graduation, and I'm going to get a IX. We'll have to see when she's done. I'm starting to really really love my X MR. It's going to be hard to hand it over after I'm done with it.

Here are some more pics of the STI sedan:

I always thought i would like a sedan version of the new STI better than the 5 door. I was wrong.

NASIOC is having a meltdown right now. All the Subie fans were hoping for more power, DSG, torque vectoring and then....................nothing. Some suspension tweaks which will surely help the STI be more competitive with the EVO but Mitsubishi is probably due to make some tweaks to the 2011 EVO so nothing really here except a so so looking STI sedan.
