Now you 6262 turbo guys have a solution to that big *** turbo lag, no its not a downshift. Its called compund super charger kit or something like that to make make up for the big *** lag!!

Looks fun andlooks like a super good idea too!

That Lotus is disgusting...

Compound Turbos are fun fun fun ;-) ..I was just tuning my buddies compound setup on his dsm... a 20g feeding an HX40 feels retarded at ~40 psi combined boost....and is soooo unbelievably pump gas friendly .. :-P

Compound turbos are popular with guys who modify diesel trucks. I don't know why they aren't as popular for gasoline engines.

I would like to have such a setup. Maybe use the tiny Ralliart turbo as the first stage and then use something huge as the second stage.

It's usually the large turbo at low boost that feeds a higher boosted air to a smaller turbo

Good find! The power to weight ratio is insane. Unfortunately it seems that particular car isn't very reliable, but then again reliability at those power levels isn't easy.

Well i suppose its all on what side you're looking at... on the Hot side the air flows from the engine through the smaller turbo and eventually into the Larger , and cold side goes from larger to smaller.. :P .....regardless.. Compounding is awesome...neither turbo has to work as hard as a single turbo would to acheive the same airflow.. and results in quick spool, and awesome pump gas #'s (well #'s in general :P)

Overkill.
Whats better? Driving your car at 80% of its potential or 40%?
