Does not make you a horrible person, they are a great car out of the box and different from an Evolution in many ways. I really wish Nissan would mate a modified 370Z 6 speed to one though..

Then it would loose the biggest advantage this car has. It would make it slow.

I am now 36 years old, my wife is at a point where she doesn't like manuals any more and I want a usable super car. I've been looking at everything that could match it and honestly you can't really in that price range.

I could get a used 2007 Porsche 911 Turbo (really fast, but usually you end up with a manual and I'm not one for the tiptronic), a Corvette Z06 (stupid fast, stressful to race) or I get a used GT-R that does it all.

I'm so happy that I have a contract to sell my house in Tampa (there is nothing like paying $1800 a month for an empty house). After closing, I've got a couple other things to square away then it's GT-R shopping time by this winter. I hope I can find a decent one with midpipes and a cobb ap so I don't have to do anything.

You can add this ex EVO owner to the list too!! I do really enjoy my Z06, but I do love a modded GTR. I say modded because stock it just doesn't have enough oomph for my liking

Just so hard to justify the Z06 is almost paid off....... I'm sure I'll make the right choice....lol.

I wouldn't jump ship for a GT-R. I picked the GT-R as the drama quotient is a bit lower then the Z06. I still salivate every time I see a Z06, but I know it would destroy me one day.

gd luck! I myself am looking at new pastures for my near future and the gtr is in the running.
The GTR is just a solid all around car and modded like an acquaintance of mine has it is just amazing.

Not trying to knock the threadstarter, but your going to sell a house to buy a GTR????? sure it's fast, it has the son of godzilla nickname , and it bad *** but is it really that serious???

I guess as i get older the whole idea of a japanese car that retails for close to $90K brand new just doesn't do it for me... i mean don't get me wrong lexus LFA that is sick, but way different price range, NSX very exotic also very underpowered, and if i recall brand new they were never that much money.

this is just my opinion, mind you i'm just another jerk on a forum lol i definetly don't think that car is worth the money.... but if you want it go for it bro good luck !!

Just did a quick scan for some GTR's in the California area. 09s are going for $66k and I'm sure they can be talked down a bit. Would love to own one but it'll be on the back burner for at least a decade. Grass is always greener...I'm sure there is someone on a GT-R forum talking about trading up for a Zonda or something.
