Focus RS
i only wonder why they use the Pilots.... I love the RS already dont get me wrong , but why? Try to get better numbers? 19 inch and pilots?
What they try to hide? Also that tire is not a good idea i think. Its almost a best tires out there. So it is very expensive and less maybe a 15K miles...

More factory options the better. No one is making you buy them.
What are they trying to hide? What the heck? Is this a serious question? lol.
The Pilot Sport Cups are optional. The standard tire is the normal Pilot Super Sports which are normal summer HP tires and less grippy than the standard tires on the Evo.
The Sport Cups are also optional on the M3 and 911 turbo and GT3 and some other cars. I'm thankful it's an option. I've run those tires before and LOVE them.
The brakes look like they are sized just fine. The rears are probably a cost saving measure. The Mustang with brembos do the same thing with the rear, Golf R as well and some of the Audis. Caliper design doesn't really matter much on the rear as long as you have a properly sized rotor.

yeah those tires are sick
i love them. too.i know those are optional and can get for other cars too. that was my point all those cars cost a lot more if not as twice as much out of the door. so that is why is interesting for me, the optional tires.
interesting decision for a company who cut corners with exterior design example wide body, when they already have it on the eu RS before.
i never runned the XL so i do t know the answer to that. but the others all put any car to a different class.
even by rules
so sum it up, interesting choice

Remember this is also the first "world car" RS so the exterior has to confirm to more regulations than before.
The new RS is on a totally different chassis and sheet metal. So they don't "already have" anything. As stated in one of the videos they chose to invest in the AWD system and suspension over the "typical" RS widebody look.

wide body rs been sold all over the world except North America.
so i dont think North America ever had a problem with wide body.
example wrx or evo S4 M3 etc.
I think the ken block promo is kinda bull given the fact when Mitsu promoted the lancer's features, the ad was banned in some places.
Otherwise the car does look promising and look forward to how it will compare to the others once its put through its paces.

Maybe the high hp numbers in the RS will prompt Subaru to finally up the hp for the US STI. http://www.torquenews.com/1084/subar...an-market-only
Want to make your best models Japan only? Sure, I will go buy a Ford.

Also the whole differential setup looks like rubbish to me. eLSD, no central diff, open front diff, basically a garbage haldexy setup.
A shame honestly, but it will ride the hype.
Also I honestly find that a great QoL improvement over EVO is engine being 2.3 liter, instead of 2.0, since our piggy X's kinda struggle with 2 liters as powerplants down low.
Ford could have built their new AWD system however they wanted. It doesn't look like they cheaped out on it to me. At the end of the day it will come down to its performance & reliability. Personally, I think its going to be a huge success.
