The new AWD was designed from the ground and I am sure they have incorporated a lot from what they have learned from rally racing.

Will be interesting to see if/how much the car understeers.

The front part is very much like Haldex and the rear too, minus the dual clutch mechanical torque vectoring.

The overheating occurs more with stability control on. With the nannies off the brakes are much better. I speak from experience tracking my Fiesta ST.

It's not like the FoST (or FiST for that matter) suffers from massive understeer, either... I would hope Ford can get this aspect right.

I think that they're referring to a "PTU" is a pretty good indication there is no diff up front.

Speaking to Ford’s Design Manager, Ernesto Rupar, our video above gives you the new Fast Ford’s technical low-down.

The car sounds good.

CLA/GLA45 AMG has 355 hp. Would be great if the Focus RS beat that!

i only wonder why they use the Pilots.... I love the RS already dont get me wrong , but why? Try to get better numbers? 19 inch and pilots?
What they try to hide?

Also that tire is not a good idea i think. Its almost a best tires out there. So it is very expensive and less maybe a 15K miles...

But my main concern is, very quick high hp car with stellar tire for who knows who?
So when an inexperienced driver gets this car and he or she think immediately becomes KB, things will going very well ... until the tires let go with a little warning a head ( because it is super gripy)

so i think lesser tires with more understandable warnings for rookies would be safer. I am sure many of us getting where i am going with this.

I watched the video around, its only me or the rear brakes looks small on this car?
Why they dropped the wide body when the RS (older in EU) already had it?

dont get me wrong i love the car and happy its finally here, but these interesting for me even before they release it.

You don't understand why Ford decided to put high performance tires on its high performance car?

What are they trying to hide? What the heck? Is this a serious question? lol.

The Pilot Sport Cups are optional. The standard tire is the normal Pilot Super Sports which are normal summer HP tires and less grippy than the standard tires on the Evo.

The Sport Cups are also optional on the M3 and 911 turbo and GT3 and some other cars. I'm thankful it's an option. I've run those tires before and LOVE them.

The brakes look like they are sized just fine. The rears are probably a cost saving measure. The Mustang with brembos do the same thing with the rear, Golf R as well and some of the Audis. Caliper design doesn't really matter much on the rear as long as you have a properly sized rotor.

My thoughts exactly. It's not an Evo though, so it's a **** car.
