Focus RS
The new AWD was designed from the ground and I am sure they have incorporated a lot from what they have learned from rally racing.
Will be interesting to see if/how much the car understeers.

That does read like no front LSD and it will use the brakes as such. However, with the amount of power in can send to the rear, I don't think it will be too much of an issue like it is on the Focus ST, which overheats the stock brakes on the track using the brakes as an "LSD" and stability control..

The overheating occurs more with stability control on. With the nannies off the brakes are much better. I speak from experience tracking my Fiesta ST.
They mention power oversteer in here

Speaking to Ford’s Design Manager, Ernesto Rupar, our video above gives you the new Fast Ford’s technical low-down.
The car sounds good.

Ford is going to wow everyone with what this car can do around a track, but the one you want to see is the Pilot Super Sport tired one. That will be the ultimate telling of what this car can do on a level playing field. I do think it'll have 330ish HP to cement it's fastest AWD car out there to swell potential buyer egos. All the better to humiliate them with out on the road, I say. ;-)

i only wonder why they use the Pilots.... I love the RS already dont get me wrong , but why? Try to get better numbers? 19 inch and pilots?
What they try to hide?
Also that tire is not a good idea i think. Its almost a best tires out there. So it is very expensive and less maybe a 15K miles...

But my main concern is, very quick high hp car with stellar tire for who knows who?
So when an inexperienced driver gets this car and he or she think immediately becomes KB, things will going very well ... until the tires let go with a little warning a head ( because it is super gripy)
so i think lesser tires with more understandable warnings for rookies would be safer. I am sure many of us getting where i am going with this.
I watched the video around, its only me or the rear brakes looks small on this car?
Why they dropped the wide body when the RS (older in EU) already had it?
dont get me wrong i love the car and happy its finally here, but these interesting for me even before they release it.

What are they trying to hide? What the heck? Is this a serious question? lol.
The Pilot Sport Cups are optional. The standard tire is the normal Pilot Super Sports which are normal summer HP tires and less grippy than the standard tires on the Evo.
The Sport Cups are also optional on the M3 and 911 turbo and GT3 and some other cars. I'm thankful it's an option. I've run those tires before and LOVE them.
The brakes look like they are sized just fine. The rears are probably a cost saving measure. The Mustang with brembos do the same thing with the rear, Golf R as well and some of the Audis. Caliper design doesn't really matter much on the rear as long as you have a properly sized rotor.
