Going to wait and see. A year 2 or 3 model will have more bugs fixed anyway.

Plus maybe they will end up adding a track pack or a stripped down spec.

If supply is that limited... I am gonna have to wait. Hate paying 40k for almost the same thing(my x), not to mention I may also have to another 5k mark up
well the truth is the demand is so high at the launch and the supply is distributed.
The prices won't stay that way for very long, this happens with just about any hyped vehicle by dealers.... if you want it bad enough, they know you'll pay.

IF the Fiesta RS ends up being AWD I will probably have to buy one. Man that would be a fun little car.

Alternatively, it will be interesting to see if any of the 2017 WRC homologation cars find their way to US shores. The engine Toyota has developed for the Yaris sounds impressive.

we are on a same page

for me the Wide body is a must when it comes down for sporty cars. ( specially rally breed ones )

The Fiesta RS would be a killer .

Exciting news!

Documentary coming Sept 30...

“Rebirth of an Icon” follows the highs and lows from design studio to worldwide premiere of the all-new 2016 Focus RS– through extreme testing in the Arctic and Arizona – and at the hands of Focus RS consultant, and Gymkhana superstar Ken Block.

I kind of want to get one just to be involved with the first wave of excitement. I think it would be a fun time.

that's the same reason it's hard to not over pay for an R32 GTR right now LOL. in about 3-5yrs, the prices should be reasonable.. but i want one NOW haha.

and who wouldn't wanna be the first to show up around town in a new RS. i think, deep down, we'd all like the attention we would get showing up to any meet/event.

kaj if you are serious about wanting an R32 PM me, I live near the Canadian boarder and have a working relationship with an importer in Victoria, BC. I think he has a couple R32s in stock and can source others.

We could get you an (89-90) R32 legally across the border no problem. If you try to buy one here in the states you will likely get gouged on the price. Next year there will be even more available as I think the production numbers ramped up a bit.

i live in CA, so it's a no-go unless i want to dump the $4-5k to get it up to spec. my plan is to let everyone else do it, then buy a CA-registered car when someone decides to dump one off. i figure it will hopefully have the rust issues taken care of and other maintenance already done.
i have one for sale about 45mins from me. the guy is asking $20k. i was about to be all over it until i found it's a Florida car. i had a buyer for my Evo and everything LOL.

I thought classic cars (i.e., 25+ year old cars) qualified for Smog Exemption in CA. http://www.carsdirect.com/dmv/do-cla...-in-california

What do you mean by bringing up to spec?
