The average ST buyer earns more than $100,000 a year
I had to LOL at that too.

I think if I can get my dealership group to let me take one, and I pay what I want to pay, I'll swap the Evo. Otherwise I'll wait till the hype comes down.

Wonder what the wheel specs will be, I'd love to buy white and swap my works on 1st day

I thought it was a bad idea to buy the 1st model year. Better to wait a year and let them iron out the bugs.

Eh, nothing a service department couldn't sort out typically. That being said if anything happens like the C7 Vette (6 speed auto in 14 to 8 speed in 15) that would **** many people off.

from my experience, this is combined house hold income, not personal.

When I started to see market data for certain cars like $50k SUV's the income was like 150-180k and I was like who the F makes this much money and spends it on a RX350?
Orthopedics drive like s6, s550 and ****
... so yeah its combined.

I also suspect they will offer more colors in the second year. Possibly even the liquid blue the car was revealed in (which imo is much nicer than the pale "nitrous" blue).

A dealer here in MN is charging a $5000 deposit to order and also wants $5,000 over msrp. Apparently they said because of a "corporate decision"

I'm sure they mean the owner of that dealership(s) by corporate, not Ford corporate... if Ford wanted $5k more they'd make msrp $5k more, not a markup

They probably do their market research in the LA market where you need to make $100k just to pay rent.

Agree, the color selections were really disappointing. This is a flashy/obnoxious car, I want a flashy/obnoxious paint job!!!

Obviously. Dealer also said they were only allowed 2 units. Getting one at msrp might be tough!

You might have better luck if you walk in and talk with a salesman. I bet there is a salesman out there that will be happy to lock in an MSRP sale.

Salesman have pretty much nothing to do with the final number on a sale anymore. Everything goes through a sales manager for approval these days, and that's IF a sales manager isn't already involved in the deal..

Maybe check with http://www.galpinford.com/ and see if they are going to charge over MSRP. As the #1 volume dealer they will surely get more than 2 RS.

What? Are these cars gonna be limited produced? I found it hard to believe, isn't this the best time to mass produce the RS? No more wrx /Sti in hatch (for now), no more evo.
If supply is that limited... I am gonna have to wait. Hate paying 40k for almost the same thing(my x), not to mention I may also have to another 5k mark up
