The seats from the announcement look great. I might have to get a set for my evo (hey its an RS)

Looks like the seats from the announcement are actually the seats from the Mk 2 RS http://j-w-racing.co.uk/product.php/..._focus_rs_mk2_

I will be surprised if USDM will get those considering the new safety regulations that phased out the recaros in the X.

If they are like the Mustang and have side airbags they will pass safety.

Focus ST and Fiesta ST have the same Recaros. They are tighter and more aggressive then my Evo 10 seats and also have more adjustment range. Up / Down and forward / back.

Actually looks like the USDM RS will have the same Recaros:

Focus RS seats from announcement:

My sister has an 08 STi and a coworker has an 09 WRX... They are absolutely not the same seat... And it's not just trim

I guess that could the difference between the standard optional seats... Standard being the same as the ST Recaro and the optional being that last pic... I guess I'm still ok with that, as long as they put something in there with proper bolestering and not the same flat thing thats in the Fusion

he bought his car used, so maybe someone swapped it out on him.. his seats don't have the whole integrated headrest thing... his specific car doesn't have those seats. I was basing my comments off his car

Can confirm having owned an 07 WRX and an 06 STI. The seats are identical save for the cover material.

same here, which is why i kinda compared it to the X. i think VIII/IX owners want a scalpel, while X and RS owners want a Swiss army knife.

personally, i'd like a X to daily and i'd L O V E an RS for the same.
