track car suggestions / discussion
Evo AWD system is great out from factory, perhaps one of the best even 10 years later since the latest Evo system came out, mainly because the very honest and easy drive characteristic of the car, you can call it nannies or what ever is. Fact remains, the first time driver still fast in the car, if the steering , brakes , AWD system would be less communicative they wouldnt be that fast. But Evo does great without them "nannies" too... Just ask around even this forum
Never mind that fact, the best nanny /aid the AYC didnt even came to our country until 2008.This fact also just hence my opinion about the Evo communicative chassis , steering , brakes, and power delivery.
ANY car is good to learn to drive, as long as you have a ***** to take them to the limit.
my favorite meme about car argument, even though its not closely coneccted to this discussion, but i am sure you getting the point vice versa.

which car is the best to learn.... If you think about it, and ever drove eccesivelly an Evo you will find out very soon, "nannies" can also trick you , and also you need to learn them, work with them etc.
that is pretty old and mute argument, specially after 13 years ago the first Evo landed on USA soil. The evo handles great also with mechanical parts. Only aids/nannies you need in the Evo is the power steering. Ask me how do i know. |Perhaps the ACD also great thing to leave it in, but not necessary to run successfully with them.

You would have a point if the average Evo owner ripped out all of the nannies that the car comes with - which very few do. Most Evo owners will have ABS, ACD, S-AYC on the Evo X.
I have no idea whether you're agreeing with me or not. I forgot my Rob to English dictionary on the bus.
I'll probably never be way up there for a track day. The expense of a trip like that would pay for two track days a lot closer...lol. I'm looking at doing willow springs in December if I can afford it.
yeah, kinda in the same boat... If I ever make the effort to drive to cali in my Miata, it'll be for Laguna Seca and/or Sonoma Raceway and/or Thunderhill. but I doubt any of those is gonna happen

yeah, thats kinda what I'm thinking... pretty much the reason I'm considering it
does anyone have experience with the radiator? I know CBRD makes quality stuff, but their website says its an "ultra slim" rad. So is that up for track use temps or is it just to make room for a bigger turbo?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. Or if the tuner he talks about in the ad is Aaron at ER ( thinking its prolly him) just call him up and talk to him about the car. I sent the guy an email asking a few questions about it earlier today and haven't heard back yet.

The car looks good, like Bryan said. I was just laughing because, yeah...lol
IMO, the CBRD slim rad is junk from a fitment standpoint. A friend ordered one and it sat up against/rubbed the AC condenser. Per Chad, this was correct fitment. One soft mounted heat exchanger (radiator) rubbing on a solid mounted one (ac condenser). Jokes... Getting a refund was a bit of struggle as well. Car now has the CSF slim rad and it fits perfect, just like the OEM piece. The "slim" rad will cool the car just fine though.
