GTI, Golf R, Audi S3, MQB
17 GTI SE manual DD. Traded the Vette, got what I paid for it, and had enough equity to pay this off immediately. No car debt in our house right now.
It was completely stock with 36k miles. Added some VCDS tweaks, a Cobb AP, 18" black VW Pretoria wheels, and new Indy500 tires in OEM size. I wish the wheels weren't black, but I got them for $400.
Clutch can handle EQT Stage 1 if I'm mindful and don't go WOT in 4th - 6th. Cobb Stage 1 is a lot weaker, but slightly less apt to slip. I roll into the throttle at 4k at the very lowest, downshift, or am just sensitive to the clutch. Might do a Sachs clutch later to be able to handle all the power, but not sure.
Still think these are sublime daily drivers for the cost. Quality fit and finish, great audio, quiet inside, and can haul a ton of crap.
The Mk8 R will be worth looking into, but the all digital everything really turns me off.

@Noize
Did you like the Vette? If not, what about it did you not like?

There are a couple other cars in my family, but with my daughter getting her license, the ability to drive them was limited. I needed a daily driver. It was a bad choice.
The car market is crazy, and I'm officially not playing until it settles down. A new body S3 came in locally. I didn't want to drive, just wanted to see it in person. Car was super loaded and they sold it for over MSRP the first day.
I'd like to also at least see a Mk8 R, but people are still paying over MSRP for everything.

There is also HP Tuners. I have tuned both my vw’s with that. I had eurodyne on them. It’s trash compared.
Was also going to move them to the opensource solution but I bought the supra and shifted interest. I will probably move them both over to opensource this year.
