It actually has about 60 events under it's belt but the first season was stock power. The 2023 season was around 530whp and 2024 season was 580whp+

Gat dayum.

those b58s are really stout lol.

we all know they make big power, but to stay together after this many circuit events.

very impressive. I’m beginning if to like this platform because of this thread lol

Thats amazing how many events at 500+ hp. And no cooling issues at that power too?

Intake manifold (mani-cooler) upgrade is the first thing needed with track use and added power. The IAT's get pretty high and the car starts pulling power. Unfortunately it's also the most expensive at $2500+

After that oil temps need to be addressed depending on location and tracks. Big tracks in higher ambient temps will need it first. Also depends on a persons build mentality. Larger turbos produce less heat, etc.

I haven't had to upgrade the oil cooling yet.

My current cooling mods are:
Upgraded intake manifold (low temp circuit)
Upgraded aux radiators (high temp circuit)
M5 transmission pan (larger cooling fins)

I'm keeping the car around the 600-620whp mark. You need to upgrade the transmission to go higher and that is $$$$

At that power level, I have no issue keeping up with C8 Z06's. Here I am chasing one as he takes off passing the VW. Camera car is a E92 M3.

8:22 mark if the link isn't time stamped properly:

Which intake manifold do you prefer?

I've been using the Wagner, as has my track buddy. Seems to work well.

Do88 has some good offerings as well for a little cheaper.

Would a more name brand turbo have lasted longer? Would say an actual Borg Warner or actual Garrett BB turbo take the level of work your having it do better?
I'm only asking because there has been some controversy around that company and exactly where the turbos are made. Removing and replacing a turbo is never fun and has significant cost, but you are planning on going with the same company again.

Nobody makes bolt on style turbos. The only way to get a BW/Garrett/Precision is with custom kits, welded manifolds, etc

I'm trying to keep it simple with the Supra.

I didn't realize, that is shocking. What about OEM turbos but with replaced wheels? I can understand not wanting to go the welded route.

That is what I was/am running. Pure takes the OEM turbo core and bores it out and stuffs bigger wheels in it.

Back when my Pure700 was all in one piece:

Yes, but we're trying to live vicariously through your build.

Now about those transmission upgrade options...

why is that shocking? there's only a handful of cars/engines that have aftermarket turbos that will bolt to the stock hardware. a custom manifold and intercooler piping is required in most applications...

I figured someone made a cast SS compact manifold for that engine since it is used in so many BMWs, and with flanges for Garrett or BW on the other side... The SUPRA name is so epic, and this new version doesn't seem to be a disappointment.
Check out all these offerings for other vehicles:

I think the reason for lack of options is its just so easy to make massive power with either the stock turbo or the Pure options... then again looking at the cost of the Pure options and the cost of other applications "full aftermarket bolt on to stock hardware", price is competitive... I think the Supra name might be part of the reason options like this don't exist, people are comfortable heavily modifying Supra's. So maybe the turbo manufacturers are thinking most supra owners that want one of our turbos won't have any issues going to an aftermarket manifold? But back to my original point, its pretty rare for Garrett/BW/Precision to make a bolt on style turbo. I'm sure there are a couple more, but all I can think of right now is the Evo 8/9/X and the Ecoboost 4 banger. And technically Artec's manifold/turbo for the GR Yaris. Can you think of anything else?

There is nothing wrong with Pure Turbos. Bryan has a lot of laps/hours in his car at the track. Parts fail occasionally, it's part of track use/racing.
