Thanks for the info! So they do make a set. Awesome.

I already ordered lowering springs and sway bars for the car but I have no idea when they are going to show up. Ordered them about a month ago and still looking like its going to be another month....

RSR is the one who makes the electronic style coilovers. Not badly priced either. About $2700.

Really dont want to switch to a normal coilover. If I have the technology there, might as well use it. I really like that if I put the car in normal mode, it rides very nice. Put it in sport and it feels solid.
with MCS you can have both at the same time...

I dont think I have MCS money.... Especially since I keep buying carbon parts that do nothing for performance haha.

Just scored a set of tickets to my normal auto-x series for this weekend! The wait list paid off. So yes, will be taking the Supra racing again this weekend, in bone stock form, again.

not sure about the supra, but I can get an MCS setup for my Miata for about 3.5k. Supra prolly would be a bit more since its a new platform... but shouldn't be too much more then the KW setup. anyway, I'll get off my MCS soapbox now, lol

edit, back on soapbox:
they're 2850 on MCS's website, but looks like you need aftermarket camber plates for the front and I think you need to supply your own springs...? they're not very clear... (Miata application is easier as there are a few vendors that built kits around the dampers)

off soapbox

Thats actually not a bad price but like you said, what do they actually come with? Guess we will have to see when the come out.

Had a run in with a new Audi TT RS this morning. Supra is just a hair quicker. I can also confirm 6th gear does 140 mph haha.

Thats pretty impressive ! Are you sure he was really racing ? Those are basically like a RS3 , pretty fast in stock form run high 11’s low 12’s 1/4 . What do the Supra’s run?

The TTRS traps basically the same at around 115, so from a roll, I see him having that experience.

They say a 12.1. Once the drag strip opens back up, I will find out for myself.

Yep, it would get me from a dig thanks to AWD but the Supra would real it in. It was just a slow pull all the way until I let off. After about 110 is when I really started making the gap. We started at 30 mph.

Based on my YouTube street race watching, the Supra punches well above its pay grade from a ~30-50 roll, my theory is it’s gearing in that range and quick shifts. It has 8 gears to play with so it can really stack the gears close in the low speed range without sacrificing high speed or cruising. I think a lot of the cars it beats from that range it’d lose to from a 60+ roll

Let's continue talking about beating things it shouldn't. Lined it up against my dads 19 zl1 tonight. From a dig, I got him until 80mph, twice in a row. He is on r comp tires, im on 300tw. From 30, he pulls the entire time but was only a car ahead by 105. I could hear his traction control kicking in though. Still, if you can't put the power down, what good is the extra power?

Edit - my dads zl1 is a 10 speed auto.

This is the second time you shared something about that ZL1 that makes me scratch my head. Do you think maybe something is up with your dads ZL1?

They trap 124mph stock.

Nothing is wrong with the ZL1. Well I hope not, it only has 3000 miles on it. Did 580whp on our dyno. Could use a driver mod for sure. Plus he had traction control on which pulls a lot of power down low. If we went a full 1/4 mile, he would of been way ahead of me. If we did something like a 60-120 pull, he would be gone. The Supra having less power makes it way easier to put that power to the ground.

Sounds like he just mashing the gas, which is kind of not the way to drive a 650 tq RWD car. Even my Fiesta took out big v8 mustangs that way.

Have you driven a ZL1 before? If you havent, you would be surprised at how touchy the throttle is. Anything over 1/4 throttle roasts the tires off the line. They are pretty hard to launch. Supposedly they have a very good launch control system but you have to set it up and my dad isnt that tech savy. I honestly dont think he cares to set it up as he rarely drives the car. Like I said, its all about being able to put the power to the ground. You can have 1000 hp but if you can only use 100 of it, does no good.
