Mk V Supra - My Evo's Replacement?
I have them on my Evo too. Not the best tire for sure but will have to do for now. I would like to make it to the track a couple more times this year and 615s were the only way it was happening.
I might not have said who made them yet. Dont remember haha. They are made by Apex Racing, the SM-10 model. These are Supra specific wheels and fit perfectly. Once I get coilovers I am going to buy another set of 18x11s and put them up front with some 315s. That way I can have a square setup.
Ok so yes it still lights the tires off in first but it has a lot more traction now. And I mean a lot more. Now it won't light them off in 2nd gear rolling at 3k rpm, which is a pretty hard hit.

Now I see why a lot of F80 M3 w/ S55 engine lightly modified say it is too much power to put down. Most of those owner's say they have 295 rears.
I'm sticking with the Evo for the forseeable future, but if the Evo gets totaled for some reason then I'll probably be heading to the Toyota dealership next.

Obviously, it's not hard to drop $40K or more on Evo mods if you want, but it's not necessary. The Evo platform doesn't need a whole lot of work to be fun. The sky's the limit on mods, but you definitely don't need to spend that much to have fun.
This might be blasphemy on an Evo forum, but I think that a lightly modded Evo is more fun than an all-out build unless you either 1) really, really enjoy working on the car and have free time to do so or 2) have huge amounts of money to pay someone else to do the work and maintenance. Too many of the EvoM build threads go off the rails when people are chasing endless loose ends and repeated rebuilds when they really just wanted to drive a slightly faster car.
