They're more my "street" tire, but I'll take them to autocross as well. I'm sure theyre not as good as the "tire war" 200TW options, but they'll be fine for my use of them. My next set of track tires will be Goodyear SC3R's

Just FYI, it was tire rack who had the SC3's in stock. Ordered them through my shop from TR wholesale.

Do you think the sc3s are a better auto-x tire than the 615? I know we are both compromising here.

Tirerack has a wholesale account? I'm going to need to look into that.

based on the vid below and my experience with the R888R and the 615 I'd guess yes. but it is a guess... also there may or may not have been something off with the R888R in the vid, but in my experience its not that impressive of a tire either

The Goodyear Supercar 3 are the stock tires on the Camaro SS 1LE and ZL1. You might have experienced it on your dad's ZL1 if you bought it new. I have heard it's a pretty decent track tire, not sure about autocross

If they are the tires on my dads Camaro, they arent 200tw tires so thats a no go. I think he has the Supercar 3R on his which are 100tw. I will find out tomorrow when I go to his house.

Yes, the SC3R's are 100tw

SC3's are 220tw

SC3R's come on the ZL1 1LE. SC3's come on ZL1 and SS 1LE.

Two very different tires.

Razor - you are correct. Confirmed with my dad his oe tires were the 3r. They were definately original since he replaced them 1k miles ago, when his car rolled over 4k miles.

if you watched the vid I linked the Supercar3(nonR), the 220tw, outperformed the 100tw r888r... so its not your typical "higher than 200tw" tire. that being said I don't know how it will perform at an autox, but it shouldn't be discounted just because its a 220tw and not 200.

Beating an r888r isn't hard. I don't know anyone having good results with those. In fact the only people I know still using them do so because they require a weird size tie and the 888 is their only choice.
