i think you will be hitting more than 475 with 3k in mods. i saw this show on tv where they dynoed stock at 375. they put a smaller pulley for 300 and a ecu reflash (no tune) for about the same 300 and it put if i remember correctly 425 at the rear wheels. wow.

I had a 03' before my Evo. Loved the HP and TRQ it had stock, but ended up having problems with it. I never got a chance to mod it cause it was at the dealer so much in the 7 months I owned it. It put 390 hp - 375 trq down totally stock. First thing you need to do is dyno it and get a baseline.

Congrats on the new car. Hve fun replacing the rear tires.

I drove a 2004 SVT cobra a couple months ago... I was pretty dissapointed... steering was loose handleing sucked and even in a straight line it wasn't that much faster.. stock vs stock they are less than .5 second apart in the 1/4 IMO thats not worth giving up the handling convenience and AWD of the Evo but hey whatever makes you happy just one more person I can eat up on a real track

I'm thinking about getting a black convertible one in the distant future when the prices drop a little more.

domestic vehicles like fords and chevy's arent made for handling or refinements;
thats what evo's are for.

my 03 cobra handled fine....but with the extra weight and speed down the straights, at the track they run out of brakes fairly quickly.....the steering is extremely slow and sloppy compared to the Evo.... shifter the same....big and sloppy....

My Cobra had basanni x-pipe with cats, plus cat back.... it sounded soooo sweet...

what the hell size rear tires you have on that thing? looks like 315's...but really fat ones.... i had 315 drag radials, but they were kind of skinny for 315's....

Wow, thats a tough looking car. Nice photo and try to keep it clean. Im usually not a fan of mustangs but since your on the evo forum and ex-owner ill cut you a break . Good luck with the mods, just don't turn the wheel.
