I no longer need his address. I have received my money through Palpal.
He will some day pay for his inability to follow societies rules.

To hell with rules. The problem with todays society is that violence is frowned upon. This kid just needs a good old fashioned *** beating.

If you go back and see what I originally wrote, which ended with the idea that you had a better chance of ending up in jail than evOmATT given what you were doing, the important aspect of our disagreement has always been what is legal, not what might be right. While you are correct, from a legal standpoint, that "there are times that a person has the right to protect themselves and their personal property with force," the present situation never came within a mile of such a time. What bothers me so much about this thread was both how you suggested that force was appropriate or legal in this situation and then how so many people seemed to agree with you and egg you on. A large proportion of the violence in our society is caused by exactly this sort of escalation, where one person does something bad to another and then the latter does something even worse to the first. But even setting aside how such escalation takes us all down, please note that the law would not be on your side (as you said at least once). There are no cases where fraud can be used to legally justify violence. None.

But, then, again, I am not a lawyer, I merely know how to read, so feel free to ignore this (all of you).

Iowa, you are a very intelligent and wise individual. I can see it by how you carry yourself, and the wording of your posts. However, your one flaw is that you do not truly understand "perception". That's where you usually go wrong in the threads where you are labeled as 'condescending' or 'elitist'. You truly believe that what you perceive is correct, and you go by the book. Your thoughts are not wrong, but sometimes you fail to see the other side.
I know that you are bright enough to know exactly what I mean by this.

This isn't an attack against your character, as you have never offended me personally, however I question your ways of addressing differences in other peoples' opinions. Nobody is ever truly wrong in subjective arguments such as the one in this thread.

Either that, or you just REALLY enjoy debating (I do), which is why we are all on the forums in the first place

How funny. LOL. I thought I was the only guy that thought Iowa was a know it all trouble starter. I've noticed since reading these dispute threads, he is always trying to tell people how to act and what is right and wrong and attempting to draw arguements. What a character. You gotta love little guys like that. Always looking to dispute someone or start a bunch of unnecessary drama. But the Internet needs little guys like that to keep things interesting I guess. Just thought it was funny you mentioned it.

I'm glad the OP got his money back. Hopefully this scammer gets what he deserves one day. You know what they say about karma...

Jeff - Spot on. PM if you'd like to know whether it's on purpose or is uncontrollable.

Dade - I loved the two "little"s. That was cute. But please don't PM.

This is for those who would rather hide behind their keyboards and allow themselves to be wronged by LOW LIFES like this individual whom purposely stole my money and got away with it. We all pay for this kind of behavior, higher prices, higher taxes to pay for our protection, Jails and a juduciary system that is overwhelmed with these individuals that do not follow societies rules. I for one will defend the welfare of myself and my personal possessions with what ever it takes to accomplish the job. Yes, I will hopefully be able to depend on our Judiciary System and processes to accomplish this. But, well, lets just say that I may cross the line, to in my mind protect myself Yes, I am what is considered a Full Fledged Redneck. I have NO TRESPASSING signs at the entrance to my property, loaded weapons in my home and garage and I have a concealed weapons permit. There has been a lot of home invasions recently in my area. I for one am not going to allow this to happen to me.

Stand up for your wrights and be a man

Don

Toby Keith says it all in this video.

Please keep the relevant part of the story straight. Did you get your money back or not?

Both those quotes are correct. He has gotten away with it. I got reimbursed through Paypal. Paypal may or may not be able to collect from him. Their response to me was that they will attempt to collect from the other party. More then likely they will just write it off.

Don

PS.Why do you have so much interest in this thread? I accomplished what I set out to do. I received my money back and made others on this site aware of this individuals integrity. I am no longer interested in sticking up for my actions. If you do not like the way I have handled this, sorry for offending you.

Way to go Roadrunr. So would ever consider buying something again? Or would u just suggest researching the seller better? It just makes me nervous seeing what u guys have went through. But on the bright side, it looks like PayPal is definitely a must for any hope if anything goes wrong. Thanks again for keeping everyone in the loop and I think standing up for your rights is alright with me bud.

Two reasons. First, you made several claims about legal rights that I know - even if I'm not a lawyer - are just, plain wrong. Second, you keep advocating violence - either directly or indirectly - as an appropriate response to a non-violent crime.

When you stop, I will.

Iowa999 = PACIFIST = An individual whom would rather crawl in a shell when presented with confrontation.

Roadrunr = ACTIVIST = An individual whom sticks up for his rights and is not afraid of confronting his enemies.

These are of course my definitions

I will no longer waste my time defending my actions. Neither of us are right, just different.

Don

At least you are asking me to stop behaving in a certain way, which is perfectly reasonable, instead of making a huge statement about my personality, which is moronic.
