Regardless.....Team Import will bring it!

Now it sounds like you are talking about me... Just think, I had my Stock Lancer OZ on Stock Tires, and still pulled in a Low Time. This Year I have Upgraded my tires and wheels to give me more lateral Traction around the corners. I just hope I get the chance to prove what I can do with my OZ. Maybe I need to see about bringing my HomeBuilt GoCart to get the Lowest time...

Go carts, and OPEN wheelers are BANNED this time! You can bring your go-cart, and offer the kids rides if you want!

Now some friendly competition in-camp: You will still fall to the wrath of the Ralliart! Like what I did to poor Peter Mueller last year!

I had a questions.....when will you know what the specs are for each class? It will determine a lot on what further upgrades i might try to squeeze on the car between now and then. Race tires...power mods....suspspension...etc.

You will need all of the above, as there are 6 events which require a little of everything.

Fair enough.....i just didn;t know if there was some sort of advantage to running in a lower class if jumping up to the next class meant running against substantially faster cars......i'm not going to be running 500hp or anything by the time the event rolls around. I'll be lucky to have 400. Might have to stiffen the suspension a bit more and get racing tires if nothing else though. I already have 2 of the yokohamas burned off...haha

If you are going to spend $ on a mod.. make it tires. (anything else you do.. stiffer suspension, sway bars, etc.. isn't going to do as much good as it can without good enough tires to transfer it through anyway)

The Toyo Proxy RA1 is an R compound roadrace tire, and because of its sidewall design also makes for a good tire off a drag launch. (whereas a Hoosier R compound for roadracing/autocross might be a little faster on the autocross course, its going to suck on a drag run)

One More thing.. if my vote counts for anything.. I say let people run any tire they want to.. but at tech it gets stamped, and you have to run that tire for the whole event.

If a 900HP Vette wants to run drag tires and run an 8 second 1/4th pass, thats fine, but make him put up with the wrinkle wall on the autocross course and in the slalom.

Goood points. They are the one lap of America drivers, and I believe they have to do it on street tires no? Arent you one of them Jon? I think we set the tread wear at 89 and above. so the stock evo tires are in, and the stock lotus tires also. no wrinkle walls, as imagine the carnage in the 700 ft. slalom/skidpad autoX (3 passes at each event!) That screams saftey issues! Need a sidewall to keep the car upright in those events.
