05 Evo ?

I have an 05 Evo 8 with 29k, I was wanting to know what i would be looking at getting out of my car selling it privately. I have been told I should look at getting around 23-24k is this accurate?

Also i got base mods in my signature and was wondering if it was going to hurt me when i sell it and if its a good idea to turn it back to stock or not.

If you sell it private, thats a pretty decent price. If you put the car to bone stock.... you can probably get somewhere around 25-26k. Good luck.

That sounds about right. Put the car back to stock, sell the parts and get some extra money.

you will probably be getting low 20's for your car. i know quite a few people who purchased ix's with less miles for mid 20's.

ya i figured with the 9's out it will be harder to sell my car. I will probably wait till next spring summer to sell it, by then i will have a couple more k paid down on it and i can afford to sell it a little lower and get out of it.

You guys really think he'll get more for the car by removing the mods? With the Evo, Kelly Blue Book will give you an idea, however this is a specialty car and I would think mods might help entice potential buyers, especially if they are tasteful. I, personally, would rather know what mods are on the car than wonder what mods the car MIGHT have had. People buying Evo's who think the car was *****-footed its entire life are naive. I would be more cautious about buying a "stock" used Evo than one with some mods on it. That said, it would appear to be worth some extra money to me for the car since it's coming with mods, thus justifying a higher-than-suggested KBB price. This is just my two cents.
