Question Transfer Case Question

Hello all. I got my hands on a low mileage (30k miles) transfercase off a 2009 Ralliart. I have no use for it as I have a 5 speed car, so I was thinking to put it up for sale locally. I have 2 questions regarding this RA t-case:

1. Is it the same as the Evo MR SST? Like can I advertise it as an Evo transfercase or are they not compatible?

2. What's something like this worth?

AFAIK the tcase is the same between MR/GSR/RA, just the seal and axle is different.

Tcase is not interchangeable between Manual and SST trans. The splines are different on the trans output, so the input splines in the tcase are different.

A good tcase is worth 1000-1200.

Guy that swapped his SST to 5speed says otherwise.

I do know there is *some* difference between them (sst and 5spd), but how much, I don't know. I know everytime I dropped my transmission I had to get a slide hammer and pull the d/s stub out of the transfercase. However, I helped my friend with an MR and he did not have to do that in order to remove the t-case off the trans. Just slide out the axles, unbolt and remove.

Either way I will probably advertise it as an SST trans, was just curious if it will work on the Evo just as it would on the RA. Thank you guys for the info

I read a post a while back (can't find it now) where Jack's trans said they're different.

Hmh. Well, I posted it locally and advertised it as an SST transfercase and mentioned nothing about the GSR. Whoever wants it can do as they please from there. Put it up for $950 (Canadian of course) just to get rid of it.

Thanks all for the help

There is a seal inside the sst t-case that the manual does not have.
so they are definitely different. splines and bolt locations are the same though
