Hey Guys, thanks for the comments, I am not supposed to sell anything here so .... I can answer technical questions, that's it.

Mounts are meant to be used with any strut that uses a m12x1.25 thread. If require different thread, parts have to be special ordered (ie made by hand, no cost difference though)

Remember guys, 50m is NOT FOR STREET CARS !!! This stuff is for race cars, same thing that is used PROFESSIONALY across globe. Check price on what factory teams are using, and compare the 50mm to that ... what seams expensive at first glance is almost half the price of the competition for the 50mm. Any technical questions aside from sales ??? I do not want to get in trouble, talk about top mounts ... ooops "CAMBER PLATES" (Robi)

Where did you get that price? I have a set on order from Koni NA (2812s for Integra Type R) The list price from Koni was $2800. I know the Evo shocks are probably a bit more than the Integra but that's almost double. Why not call Lee Grimes at Koni in Lexington Ky and see if he can do better on 2812s for you? I am expecting the shocks shortly and I will let you know what I think.

Mark,

The m12x1.25 thread, is that the same as the stock struts? I assume it is the same thread as the DMS units. If so, then those camber plates should bolt right up to the stock struts, and most aftermarket struts available for the EVO.

How much camber adjustment do they offer?

It's the struts that really jack up the price plus the custom lower mounts. The 28's do work well for autox/track just don't drive them on the street much.

Mark,

I have a question for you not on an evo but on a mirage. Are the piston shafts shorter than stock type shocks to allow for more travel? I'm currently having a triking problem (for lack of a better term) Where I'm lifting my opposite rear tire in tighter corners because I'm running out of strut shaft travel. I've found a work around but it's not exactly the best solution for overall performance. Also for the mirage application, do you have the 2 bolt tops in the front for the 93-96 mirage available or do you have to redrill for the 3 bolt mount from the 97-2002 application?

Robi,

You are taking my words out of context, again! Your EVO has the only RRE quaife front diff in the country, which has everything to do with forward bite at corner exit. Forward bite = the quaife difference.

Where did you see/read that?

Hi Mark, I'm watching this thread with interest. I believe it was you I met at SCCA Nationals 2003.... where you found out the problems that DMS had in the country, especially with the 40s on my WRX wagon in 2002.

I still have the 40s that I paid around $2000 for back in '02... rotting away in my basement after 1 year of use. (DMS didn't want to honor the warranty on them because I used them for auto-x). Then, they wanted about $500 to 'fix' them, and wanted me to pay for shipping back and forth to Canada (only service center in N. America)

The 50's are a much better strut, I would agree with that.

I would, however, caution everyone about the 40s. They may have fixed any stiction problems they were having, but after paying $2000 for what was billed a STREET suspension, finding they needed to be paid for warranty and serviced every few months (again.. a street suspension) I cannot even PAY someone to take them. Yes, the 40s need the same service schedule as the 50s (which came about on the NASIOC forum after owning them for a year with no service and things started failing). THey developed the schedule after my struts had already been on my car for a year.

Heck, they're still listed as: "The DMS Gold 40mm performance street range of shock absorbers."

DMS 40's: biggest $2000 paperweights I've ever owned.

Hey guys,
The 40mm situtation with the SUBARUS was unfortunate, and DMS North America has been working hard over the past 2 years to right this incident. We are still curious why 98% of all 40mm troubles in THE WORLD were contained in North America, and 2nd why 90% of those are all in CA ???? There has to be a relation somewere, and if someone figures it out, let me know !!!

As far as DMS is concerned, the 40mm ARE our street shocks. We do not recommend 50mm for street, to hard core, the 40mm is essentially based on the 50mm, less adjustment, smaller piston size, SEALED units and over the past year have had dozens of customers regullarly getting 25,000 + miles before REGREASING. You want performance without spilling your coffee every morning on the way to work, 40mm. You want decrease lap times, 50mm.

Going out of business ???? PLEASE TELL MY ACCOUNTANT !!!! DMS North America has just moved into a brand new facility and is completing installation this week and next. We are currently the only service center in North America, but all 40mm and 50mm units can be SERVICED by our trained dealer network ( SRM in CA ) and only rebuilds will come to CANADA, which will be sent by the dealers..

As for Robi`s forward bite, seams like he knocked off sevral seconds per lap by only changing the shocks. no diff change was made when this was done either ......

Feel free to ask questions, I will try to be present at the NASA event early April, Mr. Fuller will confirm the dates everyone !!!

Happy Tracking,
Mark

Short cliffnotes of the first NASA TT event

DMS 50's under the TT Unlimited EVO that set Class track records BOTH days....Guys this is a run ANYTHING class...EVO natural selection ...they never knew what hit them!!!

Cal Speedway abreviated results:
"So, here's the brief spotlight for those Saturday record holders:"
TTU Dieter-Heinz Kijora--1:53.91 TTU EVO (I placed second)
TTA Claus Groth--1:54.82
TTB Patrick Lindsey--1:55.24
TTC Sean Hall--1:58.14 (the TTC "stocker")
TTD Kam Urquhart--2:02.06
TTE Mark Rodrigues--2:08.91
TTF Chris Barnes--2:11.53
"Sunday's times were pretty amazing when compared to Saturday's. A
good night's sleep and a fresh day proved invaluable as many of the
records were broken by 2-3 seconds.
Our winners, and record holders (that will stand for the year since we
won't be back to Cal Speedway until 2006) are as follows:"
TTU Robert Fuller--1:51.88 (Dieter placed second)
TTA Claus Groth--1:52.56
TTB Keith Parker--1:52.52
TTC Greg Greenbaum--1:54.55 (Sean took 2nd)
TTD Kam Urquhart--2:01.05
TTE Mark Rodrigues--2:06.2
1TTF Chris Barnes--2:08.91

So the 4 EVO team dominated, out of 8 events we took 3 1st's, 3 2nd's, a 3rd and a 5th.
