Man.....

I'm glad I've got a five speed. Warrtalon....you will notice yet another huge difference when you step up to a proper race pad to pair with your R compounds.

Percywork, I think I'll notice a huge difference when I have a proper suspension to go with my R-comps, too, haha! The stock suspension rolls around like a weeble-wobble. When you said "proper" race pads, did you mean ones that are even better than the HP+? I had thought they were race pads, but my lead instructor at the track commented that they were just extreme street pads. I had wanted a dedicated race pad and thought the HP+ was extreme enough, but if not, then let me know what's really considered a full race pad so I can get some for future track events with the slotted rotors, SS lines, Motul fluid, new r-comps, and an actual suspension. Hey, my car may be fast then!

HP+ is not a dedicated race pad. Hawk Blue would be. Hawk HT series would be.

HP+ is a cross over pad, much like DS2500's

I found it's very easy to over power a cross over pad with R-compounds.

Well, since that was the best pad I've ever driven on, it felt like a huge upgrade compared to the stock pads. Then again, the majority of my fast driving yesterday was done on the RT615s. I got no good laps on the V710s that were cording, so maybe I haven't yet had the chance to overpower the HP+'s since my r-comps were out of commission. Regardless, these pads felt way way better than my stock pads, so I'm excited. If the Hawk Blues are that much better, then I'm even more excited!

Yea probably because you where running the RT615's. Get some more time on Rcompounds and you will see.

i think hp+ are the best. warr you drive your car everyday right? plus a race race pad will only work wel when heated up. not cold. everyday driving will not heat them up enoff to use full ability. thats why the hp+ street/race pad is so good. it is better then stock cold and warm. plus they dont pade nearly as easy. i think you may find this pad the best for dd. but if your gonna race the car only and not drive it all day then you cant beet a true race pad.

Yes, I drive it daily, but that's why we're talking about dedicated track pads. It only takes a few minutes max to switch the pads, and since I switch to race tires at the track, then I already have to take the wheels off. Stopping to put in some pads is very easy - it's what I did yesterday with the HP+, but I didn't realize they were considered streetable until someone told me at the track, so I left them in for now. I want a pad that is ONLY for racing and requires a lot of heat to reach full braking ability, then I will only use them at the track.

yes very true. changing pads is like opening a coke can. very easy. so use the hp+ for dd and leave them in. while getting a race pad for the track days. i just run my hp+ all day track drag and whatever. i have yet to run on a track like i saw in your vid. i usualy go to etown or a sponsord parking lot. not as big as your run but still realy fun. i may start going to a bigger track tho. this less then 1 min stuff is getting old. it was fun when it took forever but now i just blash thru it.

i would also use a race pad but i run what i brung. lol. i use bfgood's kdw2 soft side wall but i like them. next tire will be advan ao48 with a lighter rim. then i may do what you do and change pads as wel. g/l

Yah, until you use your car on a real road course and have to brake hard from 130mph, then you really have no idea what your brakes are capable of...you should definitely get to a road course and try it out. It blows drag and auto-x away, because it makes full use of every aspect of the car: handling, braking, acceleration, top speed, and the DRIVER MOD.
