More 6spd carnage!!
TTP, are you saying you had the same symptoms as me and yours looked like that? My gearbox out of the car now and is getting shipped to TRE this week so I will find out soon enough.
The gearbox oil had a small amount of metal chunks in it.

I've drained my synchromesh several times and the fluid looked clean each time as well. I would think that Mitsu put out the factory viscosity specs for good reason though.

Jon told me that if I am using the car like this, I really need to be changing all the drivetrain fluids before every event, just like I change my engine oil and bleed my brakes before every event. You better believe I will be doing that from now on.
Once any oil burns it doesn't work so well. The gearbox isn't like the motor where oil gets dirty from carbon, etc. If the oil is a darker color then when you put it in, that means its getting really hot.
