Hey MG,

These guys had a larger carbon duct/lid that fit on top of the stock box. Jason U had one.

Jake,

Glad you like it. The quality, fitment, and performance is second to none. It's been 2 years since I installed mine.

See you this weekend along with a dozen others.

Dave

It doesn't throw the CEL so I should be fine right!!??

If Dave and I get protested for that I'll consider myself in really good company.

Ya Dave can't wait to see you guys again. I'll buy you guys some beer on Sat night. Hopefully I can slow you down for Sunday

Someone asked what airbox. It's the HKS Kansai Carbon Fiber intake.

I have the Rexspeed on my car and really like it. I wanted something that didn't pull hot air right out of the engine bay. Ya'll can check it out on Saturday.

I've updated page 1 again to make the info more current and accurate. Any of you senior STU classmen feel free to offer clarification on anything I added to P1.

Looks good for the most part, the only change I would make is that starting in 2008 (I believe), cars must retain the A/C system (per recent Fastrack). Also, tuning for a non-front LSD car is going to be a tad different than the LSD version (i.e. plan on compensating for more front understeer!)

Thanks Russ. Who knows what else I may need to change. Maybe I'll have to stipulate that you must use a stock cat. Grrrrrrrrrrrr....

Looks good Dave. One thing I might revise is your front camber recommendations. For example, I run about 3.5 neg in the front and might go for more if I could. Everyone might have a different opinion but from what I have seen (pyrometer/pics of car under load), I'm staying with that much.

BTW, Mods, why isn't this thread a sticky?? We have a stock and SM thread so why not the 40+ page STU one?

What clutch is everybody using? The way I read the rules, I don't see anything other than OE that meets the requirements. Maybe there's some options that aren't obvious...

Stock, it's the only one that you are allowed to use in STU.

I get them from the South Coast Mits parts dept. They sell them for a good percentage off. Also found a mechanic who does the job for $400. I think of it like budgeting for tires.

OT: But I don't think Davemac would mind this...

I know it's off topic, but a big congratulation on Davemac's convincing WDCR-SCCA win at Fedex today. Dave's car looks great on a "BMW" course.

I think I need more goodies from Rick to keep up... Good driving Dave!
