John, what did it do that made you revert back? How did get the pig to finally rotate the way you wanted without it? BTW great driving last week-end .

The car was too stable and pushy. It wouldn't turn for me. I swapped some springs and changed the alignment a bit, now it suits my driving style much better. I like lots of lift-throttle rotation (I drive with the gas pedal big time, no LFB for me).

Yes, only if it is offered with a M/T initially.

Those 40-psi pressures just don't make sense to me, they are WAY over the
optimal loading range of the tire. I can understand that pressure for stock class but not when you've got good dampers on......
I was concerned about the high tire pressures but, I am gathering the info from a pyrometer. Unless I am mistaken, shouldn't the inside temperatures be 10 to 15 degrees hotter than the outer temperature? I have used this to determine tire pressures.

Maybe I am just doing something wrong but, per a Longacre pyrometer those higher pressures are what is need to get the 10 to 15 degree difference. I am by no means an expert at this, as I am only in my 2nd full season, 3rd season overall.

The other thing I should mention is that I am currently running Robispec'd KW Variant 3 Club Sports. I wanted to get Zzyzx's setup but they were not ready last year when I was in the market.

Wait a minute, IIRC Warminster is concrete right? If so then the 40psi makes sense then.

Yeah it is, I forgot about that but, at Boeing I'm still running high temps, however, that could be due to such a small tight course. I've been thinking of maybe uping my spring rates some. Now I'm running 9k F 8k R.

No.
That would put you in BSP or SM.

Cams are a no-no in STU and BSP, though in BSP you can play with cam timing (i.e., cam gears) and add a MBC.

What are some of the most optimal ways to squeeze power and performance out of these cars and stay STU legal?

Go back and read my #1 post in this thread. It's all there.

Cliff's notes:

3" turbo-back exhaust without 90degree bends (Perrin, Buscher)
Ported stock exhaust manifold (PPI)
high flow cataylitic converter (Perrin, Richard Jung custom made, APS)
02 housing (ebay)
a dyno tune from a reputable vendor (CBRD, CBRD, CBRD, Jester, Sean Ivey, Buscher, CBRD or AMS) No boost control at all, just timing, air-fuel, MIVEC tuning.

See my signature for the best of the best peeps to do business with.

Does the AMS exhaust qualify?
I have been getting mixed messages about the O2 housing and expected performance numbers.
What about an air intake? Does that make sense?
