This is how I am currently doing the video:

Equipment:
Canon Elura 100 (on rollbar)
Sony external powered mic (in trunk right by the windshield fluid res)
I/O port racing camera mount with hard rubber isolator

Software:
iMovie HD to import DV footage from camera
Export iMovie HD file to .dv file
Quicktime Pro to compress/resize/sharpen .dv file to a H264 codec file
VisualHub to convert H264 .mov file to a flash .flv file (http://www.techspansion.com/visualhub/)

I then upload the .flv file with a standard flash video player template I have.

I can cut out the iMovie HD to Quicktime Pro step above by just exporting to H264 out of iMovie HD.

The video I posted above isn't as sharp as my earlier videos so I might go back to using Adobe After Effects to process the video.

haha yea, this is when I get to cross over my job skillz and my car skillz.

iMovie HD is great because it keeps the widescreen aspect ratio from the Elura 100 without having to even think about it.

VisualHub is great because you can convert video to a ton of different formats and it's also intel proc native so it's fast.

Nice driving, I'm assuming you have some sort of coilover setup, if so what is it and how has it been working for you.
I'm running some cheap-*** Apexi ExV street coilovers with really soft springs. It's time for me to step up to some real suspension.
