In case you're still looking for a place to stay...

http://sccaforums.com/forums/thread/252555.aspx

Sampson State Park is also right across the street.

Who says their wings aren't stalled either? The main difference I see is the single vs multi elements. You're going to be hard pressed to get more then ~10deg AOA (keep in mind the air is flowing "down" the back window at that point) before stall. I'd guess(*bench racing disclaimer*) you're in the 20+ deg range. A stalled single element wing doesn't do too much other then make drag. Drag + large lever arm=very noticeable effects. I guess what i'm saying is, you'll still be faster with the wing you've got but you could do better.

Infinite span cfd is going to give very good numbers. You won't see anywhere near that in reality. I just calculated the Cl based on the numbers you gave me, 200lbs@60mph with 8 sq ft is 2.6 Cl. From the data I've seen that seems optimistic for a single element wing.

I don't think the angle of the plates changes their function. I would be uncomfortable taking that to nationals if the whole piece is over the limit.

plop

I'm a lazy bastard, so I've just ripped this post from the hometown forum. I have pics of just about every car that competed MTW; and definitely every EVO. My car is the red RS #88/188

You could always drive up to Pocatello, ID this weekend for a nice 2 day event at the airport Riley.

evobeatsti,

This is way off topic, but there are events all over the place. Last weekend was Wendover, this weekend is Denver or Pocatello, next weekend is Colorado Springs, next weekend after that is Tooele/West Valley, weekend after that is another Pocatello, then Tooele Pro Solo. Plenty to follow, as well. Missing any Wendover event is missing TONS of seat time. We had 14 runs Saturday and 10 runs Sunday. Have you signed up for the Pro yet?

On topic,
People run CCWs, I believe, because you can count on one hand the number of 18x10+ wheels with the correct offset. They appear to be quite affordable, as well. I haven't found any weight numbers, though.

I'm officially signed up for the SLC Pro, so I better see some Utah Evos out there!

I can't wait to put the drag skills to use in a National autox...

I don't see you signed up? I'm the only Evo in SM so far, and there are none signed up for STU, AS, or BSP. You guys need to sign up if you're going to participate. They said they won't cancel no matter what, but I'd hate for something to change just because people waited too long to sign up.

No idea where I'm staying yet.

PS. Power is the least important thing for autox - it won't make much difference.
