EVO Aerodynamics Review
Ciro Single element attached and awaiting a track day
One thing I can tell right off the bat... I need more front down force even with the full under tray and front splitter...
The stock wing even with Gurney does not provide very much down force at all.
Richard was a Huge Help and I must say thank you to him

in regards to splitter - the splitter in my pic above is 5 inches and it seems to be near enough to balance the my wing. i wouldnt bother starting with anything less than 3.5".
Track update:
Miller motorsports park West CCW time 1:48.2
Unfortunately I never ran with the stock wing, however my friend was there also with stock aero and his best was 1:53.1. We are fairly comparable drivers, and his car makes a smidgen more power as I tune them both. But I'm running a wider tire at 265 versus his 245 so that has something to do with it.
Impressions:
The Ciro definitely makes way more downforce than the stock wing as I never went below zero angle as my front splitter could not balance the car and I got understeer quickly. I softened up the front damping a bit and was able to get a better balance towards the end of the day on the first day. The rear is planted so well I also took some camber out of the rear with no issue at all, and I believe turn one is a great indication of how the wing helped as it is a high speed left sweeper.
Picts for Balrok....
I will post tomorrow sir LOL

i sent a message to a guy in our region that runs there parts/was sponsored by them for a bit...ill let you know when i hear from him.
on another note:
CANARDS - anyone run them?
im interested to try some just to finr tune the balance of my car at this point, but cannot find any.
i had talked briefly with wasp composites over the summer because i know they made sets in various styles for both Zhong in CA and the orange evo that john carson drives in GTA. at that time they told me they had no molds readily available but could look around the shop and potentially do a one off...i never heard back.
password jdm make carbon pieces for various cars including the evo x and s2000. ive thought a few t imes about buying a set and seeing just how much work it would be to get them to sit nicely on the bumper.
Dave Kern has run multiple sets, and i believe they were probably DHP...i recall him having a relationship with them.
anyone have any ideas?

This is how i have my car set up currently. Custom designed. Sorry have no wind tunnel testing or anythn for them.
what splitter is that? are you happy with it's performance? i plan to build a rear diffuser and am thinking i may need a splitter to balance things out.

you can probably get away without a splitter if its just stock wing and diffuser. i believe thai (honda-guy) was able to back his wing down a notch or two when he put his splitter on.
im running a 5 inch splitter, and i need more front bite...
yep, stock wing with a home-made gurney flap. the diffuser is just to stop the bumper from being a parachute LOL. i'm hoping it's effects aren't TOO good. i was planning to build a 4-5" splitter, but it would be nice to not need it until i do a different wing.
its not out of the question that a diffuser alone may lead to the need for a splitter. its pretty neat how speeding up the air back there can really suck the rear down.
just go straight to max size allowed for whatever class you run, then dial it in at the wing. i wasted time using a smaller splitter, once i built a 5 inch i saw about zero reason to ever use asny other size. most available wings im aware of make enough df to make 5 inch the go to size.

I have the OEM wing and soon-to-be diffuser.
