Yeah I feel bad for him. Driving open wheel cars in the rain is just insane. Having raced closed wheel in the rain I couldn't believe the difference when I had my first formula car race in the rain. It's just insane, rooster tails and no wipers! The incar shots don't do it justice. If you are not in the front you can't see anything. You have to go on probability that the car in front of you is braking and accelerating like he should. You are going slower, but the racing is 10x more fun.

Watching the race again! I love the huge rooster tails when they are running down the long front straight. That said I wish it didn't rain, I would have loved to see how fast they would have been going at the end of the long straight.

i love F1 in the rain, anything can happen. F1 cars are fast on a dry track, but it's amazing to see how fast they can go on a really wet track. i can't believe Alonso made such a huge mistake and took him self out of the race. Hamilton was so lucky that he wasn't taken out also when he was hit (or maybe he was unlucky in the fact that he got hit). Hamilton has yet to make any big mistake this whole season but all the other top drivers have including Massa, Kimi and Alsono. Hamilton deserve to win the World Championship and it wasn't and easy year in anyway. wow, i really sound like a big Hamilton fan. I don't really have a favorite driver, i'm a fan of all fast drivers.

What you missed is Kimi and Kovalinen being side by side in the last few turns. Kimi would have his car physically ahead of Kovalinen but then he had to slow down because either a curve was coming or he was just too fast to take the next turn.

Kind of like when you just overtake someone but now you ran out of room and you have no where to go because you exceded your braking distance. This incident happend a few times.

yeah, LH got P1 so he's almost assured of winning the WDC. All he has to do is finish in front of Alonzo and he's golden.

formula 1.com says they might be expecting rain tomorrow. uh oh - here we go again

i stayed up till 4am last night to watch the quali. Kimi almost edged out Hamilton for the pole. Kimi is very good in the rain and with him being on the front row with Hamilton, Kimi have a very good chance to win this race if his car can stay together. i'm rooting for Hamilton to ultimately win the World Championship but i want Aloson and Kimi to stay in contention until the very last race to make it more interesting.

^^ Marlow,

Not pissed but concerned. Have you heard what Bernie Ecclestone said? It gave me goosebumps. The guy openly admitted that he will like Hamilton to win no matter what. That would explain a whole lot why he never got penalized a single time for any of the maniovers it happened in the past.

Seriously dude, Hamilton is british, Ron dennis is british, Bernie Ecclestone is british, the team is Bristish and there have been no british winners in 20 years. Alonso is a stranger on that gang. Until I see the last two races(Brasil and China) I couldn't make a final conclusion on who deserved this championship more, so far in my mind it has been very equal among the top 3 drivers, we will have to wait, but that is my opinion.

All I can do is just watch. Regardless of who I prefer I always openly admitted that Hamilton was a great driver so there should be no argument on that

By the way, did you know that Ron Dennis did not notified or called in Alonso to repair his front damaged car? This prove later on crashy.

Carlos

Leaving Renault was something that everyone still wonder why? As far is McLaren, as you alsready should know, it was not the choice of Alonso, Ferrari was going to hire him but McLaren anticipated the move.

Many people back in 2005 and 2006 thought that Ferrari want it the replacement in the name of Kimi, in reality it was Alonso but Ferrari never made it public until around May 2007.

We must know all the fact. Hamilton was a solely project from McLaren, they want this guy(Hamilton) to sucess no matter what. Undeniably the driver(HAMILTON) has skills but also undeniably he is being spoiled and making Alsono a second role driver.

^^^^^ I agree with somethings you said.... British part. Thats where it ends. Now as far as the penality ARE THEY SERIOUS. I would be the first to admit if Hamilton screwed up. Just watch the clip over again. LH was no where near those guys when they collided.
