McLaren Stripped of Constructors

Well the verdict is in, no Constructors points for McLaren in 2007. The WMSC has listened to all the evidence and that's the price they have to pay for there role in StepneyGate. That and a $100M fine... ouch...
The drivers title is still up for grabs as they are not being punished.

Personally I think it's the right decision, something had to be done...

Ferrari was actually able to present evidence this time, that's how. All the e-mail, telephone, and text records and everything else were presented. There was no way McLaren was going to walk away from this unpunished...

yes, we know this.. but the FIA said that they had no proof that Mclaren actually used any of that information to their advantage, hence why they didnt get punished at first..... now they are punished, so that means the FIA found evidence that Mclaren did use that information to their advantage.. I am simply curious what that advantage was. n

Serves McLaren right for industrial espionage and cheating!

Also rumor has it that Alonso isn't sharing anymore of his technical data with Hamilton due to their feuding and it seems Alonso was faster in the last race after he was allowed to keep his data and setup to himself.

Wow stripping Mclaren of of constructors points and fining them $100 million is way too lenient. No one cares about the constructors title, and $100 is just a fraction of a teams yearly budget. They should have taken points away from the drivers as well.

Well, Ferrari & other teams arent exactly angels either..... it appears at this point as the only real advantage Mclaren got out of the documents given to coughlin was to point out that Ferrari was using illegal aerodynamics (moving bottom plank) to the FIA.

god must I be bored right now...
