Door Weights
Yes it is
yeah thanks for the input... and i agree they are not as safe as custom cages but NASA lets me run wheel to wheel so thats good enough for me until I find a guy that does good enough work.
Yup thats me.. i've seen a few of you DTM guys with NASA/PDA... I think i was out on track with you guys on the Pocono long course. I look forward to meeting you at Redline.
I had the windshield custom made by Shields... and I cut the rear windows out myself and installed them myself. I'm not running front windows.

Is that a bolt-in cage? Not to preach at you, but if you're running the car as hard and as fast as I assume you are, you really should reconsider the cage.
I have seen bolt-in cages rip clean out of the mounting points and do almost nothing to protect the car's occupants. I can post some pictures of a bolt-in cage in one of our old BMWs that pushed so far over from a side impact that if there was a passenger they would have broken both legs.
I wouldn't race with anything but a properly designed and fabricated weld-in cage.
Just my $0.02.

Are there any issues with running a weld-in FIA cage that's designed for rally use at Time Trials?
Cages where you can fit your head inbetween the cage and the A-pillar scare me. There was an STi at PPIHC this summer with a setup like that...I wouldn't have gotten in the car at the start line.
Thanks for the info on the door weights!
