Haha ... before the Bahrain race there was only 2 people (myself included) that were voting for Jensen Button to win the championship. After the Bahrain race there are 10 votes.
Sorry unlike the rest of you guys I don't think the drivers are making that huge difference (a little here and there maybe). I believe the car design, car setup for the driver, fuel and tire strategies are giving the results we see. Throw Hamilton in a Force India car and I don't think you'll see him get past Q2 in qualifying ... My worthless 2c.

Car design is key, but without the driver's input the design won't progress.
I think that's part of Ferrari's problem. Kimi is an amazingly fast driver, but just not involved enough from a development point-of-view. If Alonso heads to SF, I'm sure we'll see them back on top.

Excellent point. It is one of those instances where being extraordinarily skilled may not work in your favor. Kimi adjusts his driving for the cars shortcomings without putting any thought into it, so it is difficult for him to provide feedback to the engineers on the "small" details that could improve lap times by a tenth of a second.
I also see that as the difference between Hamilton and Kovalainen.
