Sounds like a fun project! There definitely needs to be more unlimited competitors.

I don't know anything about blow-off valves.....but I don't think JIC's can keep up with the JRZ, Motons, etc. in unlimited class.

We had the JICs already, aka free, so in the interest of budget, we are using them for now....
I see you sell suspension parts.... sponsorship????

Sorry for the late reply...

I'll talk to the other parties involved, mainly kevinD and we can put together some ideas......

I was hoping kevin would post the new pictures, maybe he is still slaving away at the shop... I spend the evening with the wife so I can stay in her somewhat good graces....

Anyway, made a lot of progress over the last couple of days, I started making a little crappy cover for where the sun roof used to live... and we got the interior for the most part stripped... tomorrow I hope to finish up the sun roof cover and get the seats mounted!

I'm still waiting for it to be put on the scales, watch it be 2999.

2650 would be incredibly hard to acheive.
our car is actually 2920 with the blower in the dash, sound deadening, stock doors etc.. and a full tank on the stock fuel cell.

we are going to remove another 200 lbs this fall, i would be happy with 2700 lbs for modified, but i we move to unlimited i think we could get around 2580 lbs, and with 625whp on our mustang dyno, that would be plenty for us

^ yeah i totally agree, the weight can come off if you try.

with the 2.3L and the current turbo we would expect well into the 500 and possibly 600whp range on e85. but for NASA TTU we will be restricted to about 400-420whp, so it might require a different turbo for when doing those events.

hey chad, looks like maybe we can both get our cars out to some events next year, it will be cool to finally meet some of the track junkies here

heres the pictures of denver patching the roof:

and denver ground off more brackets on the dash bar, and smoothed it all off.

jim helped out a bunch yesterday too, taking the rear brake dust covers off, putting in the new pads in the rear, and getting the performance friction front disks off my white car to be put on the yellow one.

mackie even got in on the fun, removing the rear bumper beam, and the windshield washer fluid resivoir

Just sent Kevin a text regarding any other help I can offer. Its going to be a busy week but I can make some time in the evenings to lend a hand.

I figure we'll be balancing and aligning the car around 3am before the event

HAHAHA how true that is.... track days usually work like this for....

Work like crazy all week, trying to keep up with standard customers, but at the same time inspect everyones car, get all the "last min" mods and tunes done for everyone, and LATE friday night, quick oil change, track prep on our own cars.....
