I get up about 7:00 and out the door by 7:20. The long hours spent at the formula shop gets the body used to not having much sleep. By now, I figure I will sleep when I am dead.

The next few days are going to be long. I can't wait to hear that engine fire for the first time!

Here are more pictures. Not a very late night tonight. Tomorrow we won't be so lucky!

The engine officially has a head now.

We have seats now.

The pile keeps growing! The door will go back on after we take a few pounds out of it.

We will be giving the doors the mark berry treatment....

we still have a lot of weight left to shed... there are brackets to be removed all over the place, still have to scrape out the sound deadening material, but the car will be driving this saturday so we are prioritizing what we need to remove etc.... this is just phase one of the build...... getting it driving and mostly striped.

The plan is to drive it in the two remaining local events this year, so we can just get the overall feel for the car, and get the engine and componets broke in and ready. After these 2 events we will tear the car back down for the final build... the car will get full aero package, cage, custom manifolds (at least exhaust), more weight reduction, and YES a proper paint job over the winter!

I love the morning update. Looks like tonight will need to wrap up the parts installs so you can tune and test things out on Friday.

You guys didn't pull the sound deadening material off the firewall - come on now, it's a critical part of your "pile".

tin snips were used to re-route the heater hoses. and to make new hose for the throttle body coolant lines as well.
