The Ultimate Track OIL Temp / Pressure / Starvation Thread!
320 crank, there's no way this car is 380 crank lol. minor bolt ons & 4psi more than stock. either way, i take uoa's every year and the engine shows up healthy
Also, what oil temps do you see?
i used virtual dyno doing pulls for logs.
idk car doesn't feel that fast lol, the m3 is faster
no idea on oil temps, dont have a gauge for it. i just measure how the car did after the fact with uoas

You don't know oil temps, so its great your UOA's come back good. But you can't say that's because your oil temp is good or not.
Yup, on cooler days it sits around 240ish. Sunday was some brutal heat. I drank over a gallon and a half of water from 8-2pm and there were still times I was getting lightheaded in the paddock.
My old BMW 135i ran 240F oil temps normally on the street (right in the middle of the gauge). My 2017 Camaro 1lE ran 280F oil temps on track. Corvettes are similar. I’m not too worried about 260F in the Evo on a 90 degree day with racing oil in the sump. I’m more worried about my stock transmission, TC and rear diff to be honest.
It's because the N54 is boosted so it'll see higher oil temps than the NA S65. Combustion temps of boosted engines are usually 2-400F hotter than NA motors. Most of the heat that goes into the oil is from combustion heat.
