+1

I have the Sublime brackets as well, except without the sub-belt mount which will stiffen them up even more. Even without the mount, they're rock solid.

I like the flat stock mounts, puts the seat as low as it will go which is what I wanted.

Just to make this seat bracket thread as complete as possible, here is the info on the Sublime brackets for comparison:

Forgot to update the thread after the last track event....

I ended running without the sliders just to test things. Installing the seat in its lowest position on the side mounts was too low for me (I am 6.1). I had to go up to the the second set of holes.

With sliders, mounting in the lowest position on side mounts was just about perfect. But the sliders do introduce a little extra play into the seat.

Other than that, all was solid. I could not feel the seat or base mount flex. Parsons Fab has a few extra sets now for anyone needing them.

This project took a while to sort out, but is finally over and done with.

This seems like as good a thread to bump as any

So, I bought a set of Bride FG's as well. I mounted a regular Sparco Evo on the driver's side with no drama. I then picked up an Evo 2 - same seat as this (er, almost - it's an II, not an II US - the II US is wider but mine is not the US one)

But it's not even close to fitting With the center-console side rail attached and the sliding part of the brackets made as skinny as possible, the door-side rail is wayyy off (sorry for the huge and blurry picture, but you get the idea)

Even though the Evo II is only 15mm wider than a regular Evo

This sucks. Any ideas?

I was sort of hoping a wider passenger seat was work - it was practically new, 25% off new price, and it means I can take a wider array of folks (so to speak) out with me - but if I have to go with a regular Evo, that's not so bad.

thanks
john

I bought sparce evo seats, sparco aluminum side brackets and sparco sliders. It also was a PITA. I also did jot like how high the seat was even on the lowest setting. So I modified the hole seat bracket and lowered it another 1.5 inches. Much much better now

Planted has a revised design for the EVO 8/9 now.

mentioned here at the end of the thread
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mi...echnology.html

and here
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/mo...seat-rail.html

We've had a set for about a month now and they're exactly what we needed... drove to SoCal and back and did two national autocross events on them so far, can't speak highly enough about them.

Easy button, if there is one, is to find a local race fab shop to build some.

Nice! I'll have to come down and visit! So does that mean I get a commission?

Checking in in 2016. Is there still a reliable source for Sparco Evo 2 mounting brackets?

i have an evo 2 US on buddy club rail. fits fine, have to leave the bolts mounting the rail to the seat slightly loose so you can get the holes for the floor bolts lined up, then tighten it all down. just wish it was a little lower.
