I had a great time last weekend racing with Kevin up in Idaho Falls. He taught me just how slow the X is, along with how much work I have to do in driver mods to even hope to put up respectable times. There's nothing like being 5th overall in PAX but 3rd in your class to put you in your place.

Word, nice driving guys. Quite a margin!

So was everyone on Dunlops and Hankooks? No love for the AD08s?

congrats to all, seems like the dunlops were the tire of choice! i thought the rs3's were fast but i guess not.

i have a quick question. are COP's (coil on plugs) legal?
what about the buschur mustache bar? (i dont think it is, just seeing to save weight)

The Kooks were terrible, we ran them on day one, both the guys and gals and actually slowed down considerably on runs 2 and 3. One thought is the weight of the Evo is too much for them and they over heated rather quickly especially one the super slalom west course. Either way we switched to our Dunlops on day two and were much happier and quicker.

Even on the test and tune course the Kooks were 5-7 tenths slower, should of just stuck with the Dunlops. Live and learn

Congrats to Geoff, amazing driving, wish I could of seen your runs.

You can replace the coils in STU but cannot add any. So 4 coils is a no-go. The mustache bar is not legal either.

I wish I had more testing time on the Yoks. They have their pitfalls, but so do the Dunlops.

Thanks everyone!
I'll post some vids in the 2011 nationals thread....

I think I see Doug driving among others. Narrated by Jake N., ex STU STi racer.

I use Hawk HP+ pads and they work great. They do squeak and dust really bad so be prepared.

PS my STU car is for sale so you can have the brakes for free with its purchase!

If only this was on sale 8 months ago.

Out of curiosity, what does a stock IX make on that dyno?
